Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind has now been open for a few weeks, but construction continues on another new EPCOT attraction — Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana.”
More and more concrete has been added to the rock structures of Journey of Water.
The walkthrough attraction will have various water features and rocky structures.
The rocks are looking more realistic thanks to the concrete covering wire mesh.
Scaffolding is up around one stretch of rocks.
The long structure in the background doesn’t have any rock shapes around it yet.
In the foreground, some support poles stick out of the ground, presumably for more faux rocks.
We saw some crew members working in this area.
A yellow construction vehicle is parked next to another concrete structure.
We have seen pipes for water leading out of this structure, but they have since been buried.
In the background is a steel circular frame. We could see crew members beneath it.
Crews have been using excavators to dig trenches in the ground.
Another large structure was built into a trench. It has scaffolding atop it and wooden railings on the sides.
More thin poles and rectangles of concrete are around this structure.
Pipes lead out from this building too.
Construction materials and a small blue tent are behind plastic fencing.
Crews painted the small building to the left grey with a white roof.
Disney has not announced an opening date or timeframe for Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana.”
Here is a sneak peek of the attraction as shown in EPCOT concept art.
