The meet-and-greet location for “Shrek” characters closed a few weeks ago, along with the Classic Monsters Café it was attached to. Universal announced Shrek, Donkey, and Fiona would move to a new location in Universal Studios Florida but did not specify where. We later noticed the stone planters from the old meet-and-greet outside the abandoned Barney Shop in Woody Woodpecker’s KidZone.
Blue construction walls and planters now surround the building.
This supports the rumor that the store will at least be used for a new purpose. It has mostly been untouched since March 2020, when the parks closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The meet-and-greet is officially known as “Meet Shrek & Donkey,” but Fiona also makes appearances.
This move of the meet-and-greet location follows the permanent closure of Shrek 4-D in January. At least we can still meet up with Shrek and friends! Let us know what you think of this new location in the comments below.
