The COVID-19 pandemic has continued to affect Disney Parks around the world.
Not long ago, Disneyland Paris closed and later reopened, and Hong Kong Disneyland went through a similar closing and reopening process. Back in March, Shanghai Disney Resort closed due to COVID-19, and now we have an update.
Shanghai Disney Resort announced today that part of the resort will be reopening very soon. The Wishing Star Park, the World of Disney Store, and Blue Sky Boulevard will reopen on June 10th, 2022. The Lakeshore Boat Rental service and the Disney Car and Coach Park will also reopen, but Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown, and the two hotels will remain closed.
Each reopened location will have limited hours and capacity, with the Wishing Star Park open from 9AM to 5PM, the World of Disney Store open from 9AM to 7PM, and Blue Sky Boulevard open from 8AM to 7PM. The Disney Car and Coach Park will be open from 8AM to 8PM. The Disney Car and Coach Park will feature discounted rates prior to the official reopening of the full resort.
Health and safety measures will be in place for all visiting guests and everyone will be required to provide their green Shanghai Health QR Code and a negative Nucleic Acid Test taken within a 72-hour window prior to entering Shanghai Disney. Temperature screening is required upon entry and all guests must wear masks both indoors and outside unless eating. Social distancing will also be required.
In the U.S., Disney World and Disneyland Resorts are open and nearly back to pre-pandemic status, with a few remaining restaurants, locations, and entertainment still set to reopen. Keep reading DFB for more Disney Parks news!
