This week we venture out to our favorite beach, Anna Maria Island! Join us as we check into our rental home, and have a delicious dinner at a local restaurant!

CHECKING IN

We are so excited to be back at this house in Anna Maria Island! This is a house that we rented a few years ago, and decided to come back since we loved it so much! This house has 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, so plenty of room for the entire family to spread out! One of our favorite parts of this house is the pool. The pool area is spacious with a main pool, hot tub, grill station, and even a small waterslide! The trees surrounding the area give some great shade, and make you feel nice and secluded from the neighbors. For our time here, we also decided to rent a GEM car, which is practically a pumped-up golf cart we’re going to use to get around the island! 

DINNER AT THE PORCH

After settling in at the house a bit, we started to get hungry, so we decided to head down to The Porch for dinner! This restaurant was under construction the last time we were here, so we were quite excited to try it! We were able to try several things such as some Bruschetta (top right) and the Blood Orange Salad (top left). The real stand-outs of the meal were our entrees. Tim got the 8 oz Filet Mignon in a Red Wine Mushroom Sauce, with Mashed Potatoes and Brussels Sprouts. Jenn decided to go with the Grouper with a Caper and Lemon Sauce, with some Asparagus. Everything we had was delicious, and we’d definitely recommend you check it out if you’re ever in Anna Maria Island!
