There’s a lot going on in EPCOT these days!
With the recent opening of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, along with ongoing construction projects like Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana and the new CommuniCore Plaza and CommuniCore Hall areas, EPCOT really is being transformed into seemingly a whole new park! While we still have a while before we’ll be able to experience many of these new projects, we’re heading to EPCOT today to see what’s new in food, construction, and merchandise!
EPCOT Food Updates
The Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge in EPCOT is now back to self-service for drinks and food items.
Self-serve was previously unavailable in this location as a health & safety precaution.

EPCOT Construction Updates
As far as construction updates go, progress is chugging along at Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. You can get a good view of this construction from the Monorail, and we recently saw that the rock work and structures are starting to pop up.
There’s also a new mural over by Journey Into Imagination With Figment that celebrates Pride Month! It has the word “Love” with Mickey Mouse and a rainbow gradient.
Outside of The Land pavilion and The Seas pavilion, the digital wait board that gives wait times for rides around the park has been updated and now has green sides.
And finally, we noticed some work being done on the barges used in Harmonious, the fireworks show that takes place at EPCOT nightly.
Disney did not share details about any maintenance or changes to the barges, but it looks like Harmonious showtimes are continuing like normal.
EPCOT Merchandise Updates

This gray three quarter-zip jacket also has the same logo. It is $54.99.

And finally, we have this kid’s hoodie. The front has Mickey dressed as a lumberjack…
…and the back has both Mickey AND Pluto and says “Best Day Ever.”
