Magic Kingdom is busy, busy, BUSY these days!
It’s the middle of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration, and that means that the original park is hopping with new snacks, new merchandise, and all kinds of fun celebrations. But besides the anniversary festivities, there’s a lot of other news to keep up with — today we’re sharing everything that’s new in Magic Kingdom!
Magic Kingdom Food Updates
Aloha Isle
First up, we have some happy news to report at Aloha Isle in Adventureland — the Pineapple Upside-Down Cake is back on the menu and available to order! You can snag one for $6.99.
The classic tropical dessert is served with a healthy dollop of Dole Whip on top, and it’s the perfect treat for a hot summer day. We know it’s a fan favorite, so we’re glad to see it back again!

Magic Kingdom Construction Updates
Center Street
Moving on to construction updates, we stopped by Center Street to see if anything had changed over there. This little offshoot of Main Street, U.S.A. has been blocked by a short construction wall for a few weeks now, and it looks like Disney is replacing some of the pavement.
At this time, the seating area back here is unavailable while the work is being completed. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
TRON Coaster
Of course, Magic Kingdom’s BIG project currently is the TRON coaster over in Tomorrowland. We got a great view of construction from a ride on the PeopleMover, and it looks like work is continuing on the pathway leading up to the ride building.
Most of the outside area is still unpaved, so we imagine we’ll start to see some changes there in the coming months. We can’t wait to check out this new ride!
Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.
On the other side of the PeopleMover tracks, Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. is having some work done on the exterior of the building. It’s likely that this area will become the walkway that leads to TRON, so it seems that construction crews are prepping it to become a high-traffic area.
We haven’t noticed too many changes in the weeks that the side of the store has been blocked off, except for some new barriers and tarps on the walls. We’ll keep checking back!
Magic Kingdom Merchandise Updates
The Emporium
Of course, we couldn’t talk about our visit to Magic Kingdom without mentioning the new merchandise that we spotted! The Scarlet Witch ears FINALLY arrived in Disney World this week and then promptly sold out on the same day. Disney hasn’t shared whether or not they’ll come back in stock, but BOY have they been popular!
And speaking of new ears, the Star Wars Ewok Ears also came to The Emporium. This fuzzy pair was available in the store for $39.99.
In other Star Wars merchandise news, Disney also released a 50th Anniversary R2-D2 figurine for $14.99. This EARidescent version is called R2-W50 — how clever is that name?!
Classic Disney character Goofy celebrates his 90th birthday this year, and we spotted his special anniversary plush in The Emporium for $34.99. He definitely looks friendlier than he does in the current Mickey Mouse cartoons!
If you’re a collector of Disney’s little posable nuiMO plushes, then you’ll be glad to know that two new outfits arrived in stores this week. The tie-dye and neon fits are $12.99 each and will ensure that your little buddy is stylishly dressed for the summer!
Two new exclusive Annual Passholder phone cases arrived this week as well. We’ve got this bright yellow monorail design…
…and one with the Annual Passholder logo! You can grab either case for $34.99.
And last but not least, Disney released a new nightlight…and it’s made to look like Mei in her Red Panda form from Turning Red. How cute!
You can buy it at Disney World now for $27.99.
Star Traders
Over in Tomorrowland, we spotted this Lilo and Stitch plush for $39.99. Are they drinking out of a coconut?!
You never really know what unique merchandise you’ll find inside this store, so make sure to check it out on your next visit!
Bonjour Village Gifts
Bonjour Village Gifts in Fantasyland is home to some truly fancy souvenirs, and this week three new figures/statues arrived. The first is the Mickey 50th Anniversary design from Britto for $75.
There’s also a Pie Eye Mickey and Minnie figurine for $160. If you take a closer look at their hands, you’ll notice that they’re holding retro park tickets!
And finally, we have the captivating Madame Leota in her crystal ball for $140.
These would be some very cool (albeit pricey!) additions to your home if you’re a major Disney fan!
Frontier Trading Post
If you’re a pin trader, we highly recommend stopping by Frontier Trading Post. Here, you’ll find all kinds of pins, accessories, and lanyards to get you started. This week, they had a new Raya and the Last Dragon pin.
The pin features the young version of Raya with baby Tuk Tuk in her arms — they’re so cute!
Uptown Jewelers
And finally, Uptown Jewelers was running a special with Pandora charms this week, where anyone who purchased three charms from the Disney/Pixar Pandora collection would get a matching collector’s box. The box is yellow, red, and blue…made to look like the iconic Luxo Ball.
That’s everything new we spotted in Magic Kingdom this week, but that isn’t the end of all the excitement! Things are gearing. up for the summer in Disney World, with higher crowds, new snacks, and returning entertainment. There’s a lot to keep up with these days.
We’ll make sure to keep you updated on anything important that you need to know if you’re traveling this summer, so make sure you’re tuned in to DFB for the latest Disney World news.
