If you’re all about scoring that perfect Disneyland dining reservation, then we’ve got news for you.
You can, of course, look 60 days in advance to try and grab the dining reservations of your dreams, but what if you could get preferred access to special dining spots? That could help you book that one reservation you’ve been hoping for! Well, soon you might be able to do just that…if you qualify!
Disney has announced that Disneyland Resort Hotel guests will soon get Preferred Dine Access! This perk will allow Disneyland Resort Hotel guests the chance to get “preferred access to a limited number of reservations at select hotel table service restaurants during the dates of your hotel stay.”
Previously, Disneyland Resort Hotel guests did get preferred access dining reservations, but it was a bit different. In the past, a limited number of reservations were set aside for Disneyland Resort Hotel guests at select restaurants. The restaurants included in this perk featured some inside of Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Disneyland’s Resort Hotels, and Downtown Disney.
When the perk returns as “Preferred Dine Access” it seems it’ll be a bit more limited.
The key difference here is that it looks like this time around, the perk will only grant Disneyland Resort Hotel guests the chance to get preferred access to dining reservations for a select number of restaurants that are within Disneyland’s Resort Hotels. Disney’s language specifically says it’ll feature preferred access to a limited number of reservations at “select hotel table service restaurants.”
There are, however, a number of hotel table service spots that you might want that preferred access for. Maybe you simply MUST do the character dining over at Storytellers Cafe. Having that preferred access could give you some peace of mind when it comes to scoring the reservation(s) you want.
Disney does note that these preferred access dine reservations are subject to availability, and they might not be available on certain holidays or for special dining events, so that’s something to keep in mind.
Also note that Disney hasn’t yet revealed exactly when this perk will start, so that’s another thing to consider.
