It’s Dole Whip Day, everybody, and it’s time to celebrate!
We’ve been celebrating in Disney World by trying out some fun creations like the Key Lime Dole Whip Martini and the Sangria Float. A lot of the treats available for the holiday are only around for a few days, so ya gotta act fast! And we’re here to tell you if a returning Dole Whip treat is worth it or not, so let’s go!
This is the Tamatoa-inspired Cone! It’s a Raspberry Dole Whip swirled with Orange Dole Whip in a White Chocolate-dipped Waffle Cone, and then it’s coated in shiny gold sugar. You can grab it over at Pineapple Lanai at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort for $5.99.
We’ve seen this treat before over at Pineapple Lanai, and we really enjoyed it last time! So, let’s see if it’s still as good as we remember.
Good news, this is still a very tasty treat! The raspberry swirled with the orange is a super refreshing combination. It’s also quite a pretty dessert with that shiny gold sugar on the cone (gotta make it super shiny for Tamatoa!).
The one big downside to this dessert is that it melts FAST. So, you better eat it quickly or at least take it into the air conditioning. Our cone was also a little soft and stale. We think the crunch of it would’ve helped the dessert be a little more exciting.
Overall, this is a delicious but simple Dole Whip treat, but sometime the simple things are the best! It’s a really good option for kids or if you want something to cool you down while you’re relaxing by the pool.
But, if you’re looking for something super unique, this probably isn’t the one for you. Although, it does make for some pretty photos!
If you want to try out this treat for yourself, you better scurry on over to the Polynesian, because it’s only available until July 24th!
And, if you want even MORE Dole Whip, you can check out Disney’s Dole Whip Day crawl! It has things like that Key Lime Dole Whip Martini on it, and it will take you all around Disney World.
