Walt Disney World Cast Members got to try out MagicBand+ during last night’s EARidescent Evenings event at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, including testing the new Batuu Bounty Hunters game. Cast Member Zach shared a few photos and videos of his experience with the game on Twitter.
Zach showed tapping in at the bounty hunters guild — a station we’ve been keeping our eyes on. A screen then gives instructions on how to track your target. The MagicBand+ will flash different colors and vibrate in different ways depending on how near or far from the target you are: green with steady short vibration if you’re on the right path, red with intense long vibration if you’re going the wrong way, and purple with rapid change in vibration if you’ve arrived.
After collecting his bounty, Zach returned to the guildmaster’s door to receive his credits. Here, guests place their hand with MagicBand+ in a hole in the wall. Lights will flash as the band is scanned and it’s confirmed that you found your bounty. The guildmaster’s eyes then appear in a window to tell you that you will need to collect many more bounties to join the guild.
MagicBand+ and the game will debut later this summer.
