The 4th of July is this week, which means we’re expecting a LOT of crowds in Disney World. For those of you heading to the parks to celebrate, make sure you’re prepared before you go!
You’ll want to pack those rain jackets, as the forecast is calling for a rainy holiday. And have you decided on which limited-time treats you’ll grab? One more thing — be sure to take note of what’s NOT going to be available in the parks and hotels. Want some help with that? Here’s a full list of what’s CLOSED in Disney World next week!
Magic Kingdom
Walt Disney World Railroad
The Walt Disney World Railroad is going to be closed for all of next week in Magic Kingdom. Although the trains seem to work just fine, they can’t run right now due to construction in Tomorrowland that interrupted the tracks.
This construction — on the TRON: Lightcycle Run roller coaster — doesn’t have a completion date yet. We’re expecting the Railroad to remain closed until that project wraps up.
Enchanted Tales with Belle
Enchanted Tales with Belle is also closed in Magic Kingdom, and Disney hasn’t announced yet when it might reopen.
If you want to see Belle in Magic Kingdom, you can find her at the front of the Festival of Fantasy Parade, which runs through Magic Kingdom daily at 12PM and 3PM.
Pete’s Silly Sideshow
Pete’s Silly Sideshow is a character meet-and-greet location where guests can meet Minnie, Daisy, Donald, and Goofy. It’s closed right now and has been for quite a while.
Disney has announced that it’s going to reopen sometime “in the coming months.”
Harmony Barber Shop
Harmony Barber Shop is going to be closed for all of next week, but it’ll reopen later this month on July 31st.
Starting then, kids and adults can visit to get their hair cut! Prices for these experiences have increased a bit since it was last open, so be sure to check those out before you visit.
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is a Disney princess and prince salon in Magic Kingdom. It’ll be closed for all of next week, but it will reopen on August 25th!
Reservations for the experience will open sometime in early August.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Festival of the Lion King
Sadly, A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King is closing this week in Animal Kingdom, starting on July 5th (its last day open before this temporary closure is July 4th). But the good news is that the show is closing so that performers can practice some returning scenes!
When the show reopens, it’ll be called Festival of the Lion King again and feature some fan-favorite scenes that have been missing for a while: the Tumble Monkeys and the aerial acrobatic birds. It will reopen on July 16th.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
The Voyage of the Little Mermaid is going to be closed for all of next week in Hollywood Studios.
Disney hasn’t announced a reopening date for the attraction, so we’re not sure yet when it might return.
Fantasmic!
Fantasmic! is also still closed in this park, and we don’t have a reopening date for this show either.
When Fantasmic! does return, there will be some changes to the show, including new stunts, characters, and effects.
Check out some Genie+ additions coming to Hollywood Studios.
EPCOT
Canada Far & Wide in CircleVision 360
Canada Far & Wide in CircleVision 360 is currently closed. This attraction closed to make room for the Appleseed Orchard booth at EPCOT’s upcoming 2022 International Food & Wine Festival.
We’re not expecting Canada Far & Wide to reopen until the festival concludes on November 19th.
See all the MENUS for the 2022 Food & Wine Festival.
Disney World Hotels
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Victoria & Albert’s is going to be closed for all of next week. This spot will reopen on July 28th, and reservations are available now.
When it reopens, Victoria & Albert’s will have some updates to both the menu and decor.
Learn more about the changes coming to Victoria & Albert’s here.
Disney World Water Parks
Blizzard Beach
Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is closed, and it doesn’t have a reopening date yet.
In the meantime, you can head to Typhoon Lagoon — Disney World’s other water park. This park has a lazy river, several slides, and some new snacks to try.
Check out Typhoon Lagoon here!
While you’re in Disney World this week, don’t forget that there are special fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT to celebrate the 4th of July! And be sure to book your park passes ASAP if you haven’t already — availability is running out fast, and several parks are already booked up for certain days next week.
