Disneyland has a strong history with Military bands, starting back in 1955 when a Marine-only band performed at the opening ceremony on July 17. As a result, the California Army National Guard 40th Infantry Division Band from Los Alamitos, CA, and the 1st Division Marine Band from Camp Pendleton in San Diego, CA, will be playing at Disneyland from July 2-4 for Fourth of July celebrations.
These military performance groups entertain the guests and share the joy of music. Their connection with Disney helps advocate for SALUTE, a program dedicated to serving active-duty cast members or those who have previously served.
Guests will be able to see the bands play at both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure park.
The military bands will be playing at various times throughout the park. Guests will have plenty of opportunities to see a show throughout their day.
It is a long-standing tradition of American Disney Parks to incorporate the United States Military into their ceremonies, such as the Flag Retreat at Disneyland. This Independence Day will see another year of that bond pass by.
Let us know if you’ll be listening to the bands play this Fourth of July weekend in the comments below!
