Do you ever have such an amazing park day ruined by walking in circles trying to remember where you parked? Those days are over with My Disney Experience’s Car Locator by State Farm. We got news of this feature not long ago, and it is now launching for some users.
Guests can access the Car Locator feature via the card on the My Disney Experience app Home Screen (left) or the feature menu (center) for access. You will then arrive at the Car Locator feature screen (right).
If you have Location Services turned on and are within one of the supported parking areas, the app will auto-fill details about where it thinks you parked. You can then confirm or modify these details.
If you are too far from a parking area, or have Location Services disabled, you’ll receive a “Too Far Away” prompt and will need to manually enter your parking details.
When you’re ready to leave, return back to the Car Locator. If notifications are enabled, the app will automatically remind you where you’ve parked!
Car locator is available at: Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park, Disney Springs, and ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
This feature is complimentary to the My Disney Experience app. It claims to function best when you enable Location Services, Bluetooth, and Notifications on your phone.
The images are from iOS and Android app version 7.11 which is currently rolling out to supported devices.
