But don’t worry! We’ve got everything you need to know about all the biggest Disney news stories from the last week right here!
1 — New Restaurant Details!
We start things off with some food news! We had already shared that Disney’s BoardWalk would be undergoing some massive changes in the future, which would include the transformation of BoardWalk Bakery into a sandwich-focused shop. But now we have more details!
BoardWalk Deli is what will replace BoardWalk Bakery THIS SUMMER!
The spot is inspired by American Northeast delis and will feature house-baked bagels, warm sandwiches, and even hand-piped cannoli!

2 — MagicBand+ News!
If you’re eager to get your hands on one of the BRAND NEW MagicBand+ devices, we’ve got great news! Disney has officially announced that MagicBand+ will be released in Disney World on July 27th!
You’ll be able to grab MagicBand+ in the parks as well as on shopDisney. In terms of pricing, we previously saw a MagicBand+ get accidentally released for $29.99. But when they officially launch, MagicBand+ will cost $34.99. Annual Passholders and Disney Resort hotel guests, however, will be able to get these at a discount.
When you get your MagicBand+, you’ll need to properly set it up before using it. You’ll also need to charge it and may have questions about what happens if the battery is totally drained.

3 — Bob Iger Reportedly Regrets Picking Bob Chapek as Disney CEO
This week we also got to hear a bit about the relationship between Bob Iger (former Disney CEO) and Bob Chapek (current Disney CEO) and the transition of power that happened when Chapek took over the CEO role.
According to Disney sources and some who are “familiar with Iger’s thinking,” Iger spent his last months with the Disney Company “regretting what he has called one of his worst business decisions: the selection of Bob Chapek as his successor.”
According to some sources, Iger has been unhappy with how the transition of power was handled. Reportedly Chapek and Iger had differing ideas as to how to handle COVID-19 and even how Disney (as a company) should be structured. They worked with different advisory teams and those teams even worked against each other sometimes.

And finally, we end with a few food updates you need to know about. First up, over in EPCOT, an iconic snack has been temporarily discontinued because of supply issues. Those troll horns might not be as easy to pick up these days in the Norway pavilion, so keep that in mind!
Also in EPCOT, if you’re hoping to get breakfast at a Food & Wine Festival booth, there’s one spot you can visit to start eating early!
This week we also got some details about a huge dining deal that is returning to some Disney World restaurants! That’s right folks, Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining event is coming back and it’ll give you the chance to eat at some Disney restaurants (and other Orlando restaurants) for LESS!
