Half of Center Street at Magic Kingdom has been closed off for brick refurbishment since mid-May. The street is an offshoot from Main Street, U.S.A.
Rolling planters currently block the closed section of the street from view.
The old pavement and curbs were completely removed. New black curbs and some new brick has now been installed.
Two sections of fresh red brick sit atop a layer of concrete, which was poured over weather-proof sheathing.
The new brick is significantly nicer looking than the old brick still on the front half of the street.
We could see construction materials at the far end of the street covered by tarps.
The refurbishment was originally scheduled to last four weeks, but it has now been over a month.
