Greetings from another beautiful day here at the Universal Orlando Resort. Let’s get going and see what’s new today around the parks.
Advertisements for “Nope” have gone up over the weekend at the theater in CityWalk. The movie is out on July 22. If you’re visiting Universal Studios Hollywood, Jupiter’s Claim will be opening on the same day.
Sahara Traders has gotten a major update ahead of the reopening of Revenge of the Mummy. More details have been added around the store. Check out our post here for a closer look.
Tour groups are back! The parks have been very busy with tour groups today. At least the backpacks are nicely organized. Imagine this many people trying to put their bags into lockers at the same time.
It’s been brutally hot lately, so we’re happy to hop on the Hogwarts Express when there’s a 15 minute wait. Let’s go check out Islands of Adventure.
This open back tank from Poseidon’s Treasures is great for a hot day like today. That’s some nice ventilation. You can pick up one of this tops for $33.
Rough start to the morning. Both Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure and VelociCoaster were delayed when we arrived.
VelociCoaster opened not long after we got to Jurassic Park. Unfortunately, it was operating at a limited capacity and had a 2 hour wait.
Water rides are very popular in the summer. It looks like everyone was rushing for Jurassic Park River Adventure.
If only all those people in line knew that they would lose their pants after the ride.
When ride wait times are high, we like to go snacking. Today, we’re snacking for cheap and going for the most inexpensive and delicious snacks we can find. Our first stop was to Fire Eater’s Grill for chocolate chip cookie dough. This is just $3.99 and is sure to satisfy your sweet tooth.
And you thought Dole Whip was just at that other theme park! Pineapple Dole Whip can be found at Chill Ice Cream in Marvel Super Hero Island and Wimpy’s in Toon Lagoon. If you’re at Universal Studios Florida, you can also find it at Schwab’s Pharmacy. This cup is just $3.99.
These are one of our favorite sweet treats. The s’mores are $4.50 and totally worth it! You can read our full review of the Jurassic World s’mores here. We picked this up at Island Market and Export Candy Shoppe.
The Top Glo water blaster game in Toon Lagoon has reopened after being closed for a few days.
If we hadn’t done so much snacking earlier, we would totally be down for some Green Eggs and Ham. We’re going to get out of here, but thanks for following along with us today. Be sure to stay tuned to Universal Parks News Today for more updates.
