Flavors of Florida has returned to Disney Springs this summer, and D-Luxe Burger is celebrating with two new garage-inspired burgers, plus an Orange Bird shake.
The burgers are named for the Orange Garage and Lime Garage.
Orange Bird Shake – $7.50
Vanilla gelato blended with orange syrup, whipped cream, and sprinkles
This tastes similar to the Orange Bird DOLE Whip we had over at Swirls on the Water. It’s creamier since it is a milkshake.
This has a bit more of an artificial taste, too, thanks to the orange syrup.
It was a little too sweet for our liking but it could be a good evening snack.
Orange Garage Burger – $12.49
Two-pressed signature-blend patties, citrus-braised pork belly, orange onion jam, pepper jack, and lettuce
This has a mild flavor, with a bit of heat at the end thanks to the onion jam and pepper jack.
The burger patty was okay. It was cooked just fine.
The bun held up well to the toppings.
This would have benefitted from some sauce or another fresh component, like tomatoes or red onions. The citrus glaze was almost non-existant.
It felt dry and the meat was tough, so difficult to chew. It’s very salty, as well.
Lime Garage Burger – $12.49
Two-pressed signature-blend patties, citrus-braised pork belly, lime-avocado crema, pepper jack, fried green tomatoes, and lettuce
Again, the pork belly was salty, dry, and tough.
This one could have also benefitted from some sauce, but we thought these ingredients tasted better.
It tasted fresher than the Orange Garage burger and not as salty.
It still wasn’t as flavorful as we would like.
We ultimately like the Lime Burger better, but both fell a little flat to us. We also prefer other Orange Bird treats at Disney Springs, so maybe skip D-Luxe Burger if you’re looking for the best limited-time Flavors of Florida food.
