With the 4th of July right around the corner, Disney is rolling out some fun ways to celebrate the holiday.
There will be special holiday fireworks in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, with park passes completely unavailable for the Magic Kingdom on July 4th and a busy travel weekend ahead. If you’re going to be in Disney World this weekend, there are multiple snacks and treats for the 4th of July, and today, we’re heading to EPCOT to try one!
We’re trying the American Dream from Fife & Drum in EPCOT. The American Dream is Frozen Fanta Wild Cherry, Vanilla Ice Cream, and Frozen Fanta Blue Raspberry Slushy.
First thing’s first: this slushy looks just like a Bomb Pop, remember those red, white, and blue popsicles? It’s like being a kid again! Looks aside, the American Dream is very refreshing and cold, while not being overwhelmingly sweet, which is perfect for a hot July day.
If you’re looking for something strong with blue raspberry flavor though, you may be disappointed because the big flavor here comes from the cherry and the vanilla ice cream. And if you want to take cute pictures, do it fast, because as the drink melts, the cherry slush takes over the rest of the drink.
This treat is also very thick (probably thanks to the ice cream), so you’ll definitely need more than just a straw to eat it. Overall, this treat was very refreshing, and definitely worth a stop if you like cherry-flavored things. If you don’t like cherry, we’d probably skip this and try one of the other slushies Fife & Drum has on the menu, like the Lemonade or Blue Raspberry Slushy.
The American Dream is $5.75 and available at Fife & Drum in EPCOT.
If you’re looking for other snacks in EPCOT, head over to Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in the Norway pavilion to try the vegan Norwegian Kringla!
And don’t forget that in just a few short weeks, the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival will begin with all sorts of exciting food items to try! In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for more Disney snack reviews!
The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is around the corner too! See the menus for all the booths this year!
