For fans of the Hops & Barley food booth, available during the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival, you may find yourself disappointed as the classic Lobster Roll has been removed from the menu for 2022. Instead, taking its place this year is a brand new crab slider with tangy coleslaw and cajun remoulade.

Photos of Menu Items from Hops & Barley at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
*NEW* Chesapeake Crab Slider with Tangy Coleslaw and Cajun Remoulade – $7.00
This item could’ve been great. It had so much potential, but the slaw and bun ruined it. On its own, the crab cake is fantastic! The ratio of seasoning to crab is perfection. However, the bun was dry and hard. We were hoping the slaw would add some much-needed moisture, but it didn’t.
If they had presented this with just the crab cake by itself, it would’ve been a much better dish.
Hot Beef Sandwich with Horseradish Cream and Pickled Vegetables – $6.50
This is trying to be a cheesesteak and halfway succeeded. The “hot” is as much about the temperature as it is about spice. Between the horseradish and the jalapeños, there is a lot of kick, and unfortunately, it overpowers the beef. Overall, this is not a bad option, but there’s a lot of burn to handle.
Freshly Baked Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Icing – $4.50
This carrot cake is served warm and with a delectable cream cheese icing on top. The flavors match a proper carrot cake, and we feel this dessert is safe for even the pickiest of eaters. At the price, you can’t go wrong.
81Bay Brewing Co. Strawberry and Lime Wheat Ale, Tampa, FL (5.4% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
From correspondence with 81Bay Brewing Co.: “With a fresh aroma and a sweet flavor of strawberries and limes, 81Bay’s Strawberry Lime Wheat Ale is a perfectly balanced combination of fruit flavor and crisp taste.”
*NEW* Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. Kentucky Pumpkin Barrel Ale, Lexington, KY (10.0% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. describes this ale as “a barrel-aged ale brewed with Kentucky-sourced pumpkin, richly spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice. This robust, limited-release seasonal brew makes for a flavorful sipping beer to slowly warm up with as the weather cools.”
Lord Hobo Brewing Boom Sauce DIPA, Woburn, MA (7.8% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
From Lord Hobo Brewing: “Boomsauce is a big & bold IPA with a complex hop profile. With five different hops, it hits you with strong tropical fruit flavors before mellowing out to finish with a hint of earthiness. Each subsequent taste opens up the dynamic layers of complexity woven throughout this beer. Imagine fresh pressed fruit without the sweetness, perfect for that Saturday afternoon pick-me-up or a late-night gathering of friends.”
Bold Rock Roast Coffee Hard Cider, Mills River, NC (4.7% ABV) – $5.00 for 6 oz., $9.00 for 12 oz.
Untappd says the Roast Coffee Hard Cider “features a medium roast coffee infusion that adds subtle complexity to this cold brewed hard cider. A rich coffee aroma and balanced flavor will rejuvenate cider and coffee drinkers alike. Sessionability abounds…”
Longevity Chardonnay, California ($16/bottle) – $5.00
From Total Wine & More: “Ripe forward fruit and crisp acidity, paired with aging in French oak barrels provide the richness and complexity that round out this distinctive Chardonnay. The wine is bursting with aromas of apricot, pineapple Asian pear, sweet vanilla and butterscotch.”
Tribute Cabernet Sauvignon, California ($15/bottle) – $5.00
Tribute Wines describes their Cabernet Sauvignon as “opulent and bold with aromas and flavors of cassis, blackberry, black cherry and ripe plum that give way to earthy notes, tea, vanilla bean and shaved dark chocolate. Well-integrated tannins build to a long, velvety finish.”
