When it comes to Disney World snacks, not all are created equally.
We’ve had some of the BEST Disney snacks, but we’ve also had some of the WORST! Luckily, they’re always coming out with new eats and treats for guests to try in the parks, and that happens to be one of our favorite things to do! On a recent trip to Magic Kingdom, we tried a new snack — but was it one of the BEST or WORST we’ve tried? Let’s find out!
We tried the Merry Unbirthday Cupcake in Magic Kingdom! This is a birthday cake cupcake filled with sprinkles and topped with tea buttercream for $6.50, and we found it at the Hub Popcorn Cart.
The cake was moist and flavorful, but mostly just tasted like vanilla. The sprinkles in the center of the cupcake were a fun addition to the treat, but you have to really like the crunch of sprinkles to be into this cupcake, and they didn’t add much in terms of flavor either.
The icing wasn’t too sweet, but there was A LOT of it — so icing haters beware. It also made the cupcake pretty structurally unsound as the cake itself was hollow and the icing was heavy, and we really didn’t pick up any of the tea flavor.
This cupcake was good, though, and would be a good quick treat for someone who wants something sweet, or for kids who would get a kick out of the sprinkles. If you’re not a fan of messy snacks; however, you might want to skip this one.
