It’s 4th of July weekend!

To celebrate the holiday, Disney released a special pair of 4th of July Minnie ears (that look pretty familiar, if you ask us), and there is, of course, special fireworks planned for both Magic Kingdom and EPCOT. But a holiday really wouldn’t be a holiday without food, now would it? Today, we’re trying another one of the limited-time 4th of July treats in Disney World!
We tried the Red, White, and Blue Raspberry Frangipane Bar, which you can grab from either The Trolley Car Café or ABC Commissary in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This treat is frangipane layered with raspberry jam.

Frangipane is a sweet, almond-flavored custard, and this one has raspberry jam incorporated into it. It can be a bit of an acquired taste, so you might be taking a risk with this treat. Our reporter was not a fan of the frangipane and said it tasted weird and a little bit bland.

However, the tart raspberry did help to save this treat! Although the 2 flavors didn’t blend perfectly, the raspberry jam was fresh, tart, and tasty.
A look inside
Another point in the treat’s flavor is that it’s a pretty large portion. Still, if you’re not a fan of tart raspberry and frangipane, this one might be a skip. It’s probably not the best choice for kids or picky eaters — Disney has some other limited-time treats with more familiar flavors!
