Can you believe 2022 is halfway over?!
We feel like it was just January, but then we blinked, and now it’s July! Pretty soon, Halloween festivities will start appearing in the parks (yup, seriously!). But for now, we can still enjoy the summer and those lovely long wait times that come with the season. Let’s take a look at the average wait times from this week in Disney World!
We’ve been seeing some very HIGH wait times in Disney World this summer, so we were shocked to see that the highest average wait time for this week barely passed 2 hours! Here are the details on all the wait times.
Magic Kingdom
Let’s head to Magic Kingdom! This week, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train had the longest average wait time with 79 minutes!
After that, we had Peter Pan’s Flight at 65 minutes, Jungle Cruise at 62 minutes, Splash Mountain at 57 minutes, Space Mountain at 49 minutes, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at 42 minutes, Haunted Mansion at 42 minutes, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin at 40 minutes, Astro Orbiter at 35 minutes, Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh at 34 minutes, and Pirates of the Caribbean at 34 minutes.
Next, we had Tomorrowland Speedway at 27 minutes, “it’s a small world” at 25 minutes, Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid at 21 minutes, Magic Carpets of Aladdin at 17 minutes, and Barnstormer featuring the Great Goofini at 16 minutes.
Then, we saw Dumbo the Flying Elephant at 15 minutes, Mickey’s PhilharMagic at 15 minutes, Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover at 13 minutes, and Mad Tea Party at 11 minutes.
And rides that only had wait times in the single digits were Prince Charming Regal Carrousel at 9 minutes, Carousel of Progress at 5 minutes, and Liberty Square Riverboat at 3 minutes. Rides with no waits were Country Bear Jamboree, Tom Sawyer Island, Hall of Presidents, Enchanted Tiki Room, and Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
Remember, there is a special 4th of July fireworks show happening in Magic Kingdom very soon! But, be prepared that the crowds will probably be super high for the holiday. So, have a game plan in mind, and remember to take breaks to stay cool.

EPCOT
Over in EPCOT, the rides with the longest average wait were Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Frozen Ever After, which both averaged 68 minutes.
Then, we had Test Track at 60 minutes, Soarin’ at 38 minutes, Mission: SPACE at 26 minutes, Turtle Talk with Crush at 20 minutes, Spaceship Earth at 15 minutes, Gran Fiesta Tour at 13 minutes, Living with the Land at 12 minutes, Journey into Imagination at 12 minutes, and The Seas with Nemo and Friends at 11 minutes.
Most of the theater shows in EPCOT had zero waits this past week! These included: Awesome Planet, Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival, Impressions de France, and Reflections of China!
Remember that this is the LAST weekend for EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival! It ends on July 4th, so you only have a couple more days to check out the topiaries, gardens, booths, and merchandise that are in the park for the festival. But, if you can’t make it by then, another festival will be starting very soon — Food and Wine Festival starts on July 14th!

Hollywood Studios
Moving on to Hollywood Studios, Rise of the Resistance had the highest average wait time this week at 123 minutes.
After that, we had Slinky Dog Dash at 81 minutes, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run at 76 minutes, Tower of Terror at 69 minutes, Toy Story Mania at 61 minutes, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith at 60 minutes, and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at 55 minutes.
And finally, we had Alien Swirling Saucers at 35 minutes, Star Tours – The Adventures Continue at 23 minutes, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy at 15 minutes, Muppet*Vision 3D at 10 minutes, and Walt Disney Presents at 8 minutes.
Rise of the Resistance is usually the most popular ride in Hollywood Studios, so it can have verrrry long wait times. We’d suggest either rope dropping the attraction first thing in the morning or buying an individual Lightning Lane through Disney Genie+ if you want to avoid those long lines.

Animal Kingdom
Hopping over to Animal Kingdom, the ride with the longest average wait time this week was Avatar Flight of Passage at 97 minutes.
Then, we had Na’vi River Journey at 62 minutes, Kali River Rapids at 48 minutes Kilimanjaro Safaris at 48 minutes, DINOSAUR at 30 minutes, and Expedition Everest at 30 minutes.
Following behind was It’s Tough to Be a Bug at 11 minutes, and TriceraTop Spin at 8 minutes. Attractions with no wait were The Boneyard and Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail.
Since it’s been so hot in Disney World lately, we’d suggest getting to Animal Kingdom early in the morning if you want to see the animals being really active. It’s a great time to jump on the safari or walk through the exploration trails!
