We interrupt your regularly scheduled EPCOT Food & Wine Festival programming to bring you news from Disney World Resort hotels!
If you haven’t already checked out our Best of the Fest list for this year’s festival, you can see it here. But for now, there’s a LOT going on around the Disney hotels and construction is the name of the game. It’s time for another look at what’s new in Disney World hotels so you’re prepared for your next trip!
Grand Floridian Food Updates
Gasparilla Island Grill
If you’re looking for a quick treat on the go, we spotted a new Mickey Confetti Blondie Cake Pop over at Gasparilla Island Grill!
You can find it in the bakery case for $7.99 — but we kinda think it might be too cute to eat.

Grand Floridian Construction Updates
The Grand Floridian Resort recently got a bit of a face lift — the Big Pine Key building has been transformed into new DVC Villas! We got to tour the new rooms, and they are SO luxurious. You can check out the full tour here!
For now, there’s some construction taking place on the staircases at the Grand Floridian — but it shouldn’t affect your trip.

Polynesian Construction Updates
There are hardly any remnants of the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show left at the Polynesian Resort, as the building has been demolished to make way for a massive expansion. The new building will include DVC rooms, dining options, and merchandise locations!
The construction is scheduled to be completed in late 2024 — so stay tuned for updates!
BoardWalk Inn Construction Updates
The BoardWalk is getting a bit of a refurbishment out in front of Flying Fish and Abracadabar!
We’re not sure what Disney has planned for this area or how long it’ll be under construction, but we’ll keep an eye out.
Yacht & Beach Construction Updates
Construction continues at Stormalong Bay, the shared pool over at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts — but don’t worry, you can still swim!
There’s also some walkway construction happening at these resorts as well, but they’re working on it in sections as far as we can tell.
Hopefully this shouldn’t affect your vacation plans — so stay tuned for any major updates!
Contemporary General Updates
The Villains have taken over at the Top of the World DVC Lounge! It has finally reopened with a new look and theme — and you just might find yourself feeling a little villainous yourself.
We got to check out the new lounge and sampled some of the new foods, and even ended the night with some fireworks!
The Top of the World — Villains Lair Lounge is exclusive to DVC Members!

Art of Animation Merchandise Updates
Ink & Paint
The latest fashion accessory crazy has made its way to Disney World! You can now get Bogg Bags at Ink & Paint — they come in a variety of colors and have often been referred to as, “the Crocs of purses.” You can get a Bogg Bag for $89.99.
But wait — there’s more! Just like Crocs, you can decorate the outside of your bag to be just they way you like it with Bogg Bits. Get them for $9.99.
We know what you’re thinking, “Won’t my stuff fall out of all those holes in the bag?” Don’t worry, they’ve thought up a solution for that too — get the Bogg Bag inserts for $14.99.
They come in plenty of colors and designs so you can mix and match.
Pop Century Merchandise Updates
Everything Pop!
It’s never too early for Halloween! We spotted this Feeling Fangtastic Mickey Bat Youth Shirt at Everything Pop, and we kind of wish they made it in adult sizes. You can get it for $24.99.
We’re always on the hunt for the latest Disney news and more, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more!
