It’s a busy month for Disney World!
We’ve got several ongoing construction projects currently, a popular entertainment option is returning in full force, and a major festival kicks off soon! There’s a lot of news to keep up with, and we’re sharing all the updates straight from the parks. Today, let’s check out everything that’s new in EPCOT!
EPCOT Food Updates
Karamell Kuche
Let’s start out in the Germany pavilion, where there’s a NEW whoopie pie at Karamell Kuche! This week, we tried the Werther’s Caramel Marshmallow Cream Whoopie Pie for $5.99.
We really enjoyed the chocolate cake cookies, and the marshmallow cream was nice and light. Ironically though, there wasn’t much caramel inside! Check out our full review of the new treat below.

EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival
In other exciting food news, EPCOT is gearing up for the Food & Wine Festival! This week, we spotted menus out at several of the booths, which means we’ve finally got PRICES for many of the eats and drinks at this year’s event.
Last we checked, we were still waiting on a few menus to arrive, but we’ll keep our eyes open for more updates. The festival kicks off on July 14th, and we’ll be there to try SO MUCH food and share our thoughts!

EPCOT Construction Updates
Mitsukoshi Department Store
The biggest store in World Showcase is located over in the Japan pavilion, and if you’ve never stopped by, you definitely need to check it out! We almost always find interesting merchandise in Mitsukoshi, but this week we were intrigued by the construction happening in one corner of the store.
The area where the pick-a-pearl experience was located pre-pandemic has been blocked by black construction tarps. We’ll keep watching over here to see if any changes are made in the coming days and weeks. The pick-a-pearl experience hasn’t been available since the parks reopened, so we’re interested to see if it comes back.
EPCOT Merchandise Updates
Mission: SPACE Cargo Bay
And finally, let’s talk new merchandise! Over at the gift shop by the exit of Mission: SPACE, we spotted some new Star Wars apparel. This black and gray Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader shirt is perfect for fans who just finished bingeing Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. Get it now for $36.99.
And if you’re from a chillier climate (probably not Florida ), you can buy the long-sleeved version instead. This design is $49.99.
And speaking of cold-weather clothes, there’s a black and brown Star Wars hoodie in here for $59.99. It’s hard to think about wearing hoodies when it’s 100 degrees outside, but if you want to buy it on your next trip, be our guest!
This store is a great stop for those searching for space-themed merchandise in EPCOT, so give it a glance on your next trip. (Even if you’re not interested in doing the ride and getting nauseous!)
Souk-al-Magreb
Over in the Morocco pavilion, Souk-al-Magreb is a great stop for Aladdin-themed merchandise. This week, we spotted two new shirts — a Princess Jasmine design…
…as well as one for her pet tiger, Rajah! You can get either of these for $36.99.
That’s everything new in EPCOT for now, but this week is going to be especially exciting with the kickoff of the Food & Wine Festival. On opening day, we’ll be reporting on all the new eats, the new merchandise collections, and the entertainment options coming to the park for a limited time.
And in the long-term, we’ve got some exciting changes coming to EPCOT with the major construction happening in World Celebration and World Nature. We can’t wait to check out new spots like the CommuniCore Hall and Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. Stay tuned to DFB for the latest updates!
