DVC members flooded the DVC website to register for the Moonlight Magic event at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park! The event will take place in August on the 9th, 15th, and 23rd. And if you’re bummed to miss out on this perk, don’t worry. You’ll get one more chance to partake in this DVC-exclusive event!
We joined the queue this morning for the Moonlight Magic event. The queue page made sure to advise that entry into the queue wouldn’t guarantee event registration. (Our first clue that this event would sell out fast.)

The page also had tons of information — how many minutes you’ll have to complete each page, when you’ll be considered “inactive,” what details you’ll need to have ready, and more.

We had 2,819 guests ahead of us. Yes, 2,819. (Our second clue it would sell out fast.) And as dates were selling out, the page sent us updates.

But of course, with that many guests in line ahead of us, the August dates sold out before we even got a chance to register.
If you were unable to register as well, don’t worry. There will be another event on September 8th! Resort registration will open on August 11th at 11AM ET (for DVC members with a Disney World Resort Hotel reservation). Registration for DVC members without Disney World Resort Hotel reservations will open on August 16th at 11AM ET.
