One of the biggest events each year for Disney fans is the D23 Expo.
The expo usually brings lots of exciting Disney announcements and hints at things to come. This year’s expo is taking place from September 9th through the 11th in Anaheim, CA, and we’ve already gotten some information about what to expect from the event! We’ve seen what will be available in terms of panels, plus the exclusive merchandise available at the event, and the Mousequerade Costume Contest! Now, we have more details about another offering that will be available during the D23 Expo.
Guests at the 2022 D23 Expo will be able to take part in something called “Journey Into Storytelling.” Journey Into Storytelling is a whole pavilion available at the expo with interactive experiences from several different shows.
The list of shows you can immerse yourself in includes new shows that haven’t been released yet like National Treasure: Edge of History, and shows that have been around for years, like Grey’s Anatomy. The immersive experiences vary from things like photo ops to dance parties to scavenger hunts, and more.
Here are just a few of the available experiences:
- National Treasure: Edge of History: Search for clues in the secret tunnel of a pyramid
- Only Murders in the Building: Get your very own portrait in the Mable Mora art style and become a resident of the Arconia
- Abbott Elementary: Become a substitute teacher and see how you would respond in some iconic scenes from the show
- Grey’s Anatomy: Dance out your stress like the doctors at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital
And there are many more from shows like Cruel Summer, Good Morning America, American Horror Story, and even one inspired by The Kardashians!
Tickets for the D23 Expo are already sold out, but you’ll be able to see some of the panels and presentations streamed live on the D23 Expo website.

The Disney on Broadway virtual reality experience will be returning this year with immersive experiences from the Broadway version of Aladdin, Frozen, and The Lion King. Plus the Disney Music Emporium pop-up shop will be returning this year, as well.
