Gideon’s Bakehouse in Disney Springs is a VERY popular dessert spot in Dinsey World, but there’s a special reason why you’ll want to rush there this weekend!
From their famous original chocolate chip cookie to their limited edition evening and morning flavors, Gideon’s constantly has people coming back for more. So what makes this weekend so special? Well, a limited-edition Gideon’s cookie is getting an extended stay AND there’s another limited-time snack to try out!
One of Gideon’s Bakehouse’s limited edition cookies is a lemon lover’s dream but it’s incredibly difficult to catch! The Lemon Poppy Seed Cookie returned to Gideon’s on August 20th for a limited time and we were very excited to see it back! This cookie, which is currently available, won’t be around forever though.
Before we get too ahead of ourselves, we think you need to know this is probably the only time you’ll be able to grab this lemony dessert this year! Why is that? This cookie is made with a premium Callebaut Lemon Chip which is only made in small batches. That means once they’re gone, they’re gone! While none of that is really brand new news, what is new is that Gideon’s has extended this cookie’s stay.
Previously, the cookie was only set to be available through August 26th. But Gideon’s announced today that the Lemon Poppyseed Cookie will now have an extended stay through this weekend! That’s right, that means you have until Sunday, August 28th to get your hands on this special treat!
While Gideon’s did announce this small extended stay, keep in mind they could sell out before Sunday!

But wait…there’s MORE! The Key Lime Cookie Truffles that Gideon’s announced they’d be testing out are also available today (August 26th) through the end of the month (while supplies last).
Originally, these were only meant to be tested out in early August, so you’ll definitely want to grab these before they’re gone!
Plus, Gideon’s has announced that their insulated bags with ice are back in stock with a new design that “nicely fits a dozen boxed cookies.”
Even if you get to Springs early this weekend, we can’t promise any of Gideon’s special treats will be left. That being said, we’re ready to get in the car with our fingers crossed for a cookie or two. If this is something you want to try, don’t wait or it might be too late!
If these treats are gone before your next visit, no worries! Gideon’s has tons of amazing offerings and we have our recommendations ready. From cookies to cold brews, there is a little something for almost everyone at this bakehouse. Remember Gideon’s can get extremely busy so be prepared to wait in the virtual queue (if in use) for a while if you’re heading there later in the day.
