When walking toward the Mexico Pavilion, a pre-Colombian pyramid surrounded by lush landscaping fashioned after a Yucatan jungle welcomes you.

As you enter the pavilion, you first notice the darkened interior. It’s always twilight in Mexico, the perfect backdrop for the smoking volcano and the grand Mayan pyramid in the background. Inside the pavilion, you will find carts filled with authentic colorful merchandise. Of course, you will also find generic Disney merchandise in these areas.

Beyond the market area, you can find a dining location called San Angel Inn. Here you can get your favorite Regional Mexican dishes featuring beef, chicken, and seafood. While dining at San Angel Inn, you can watch The Gran Fiesta Tour pass by while enjoying your food.

The Gran Fiesta Tour is the attraction that lives in this pavilion. This water ride features Donald Duck, Jose Carioca, and Panchito from Disney’s 1944 animated film The Three Caballeros. This attraction is definitely a must-do for me. Is this ride a must-do for you?

In the indoor area of this pavilion, you can also find La Cava del Tequila, where you can taste authentic Mexican tequila and learn about its history and traditions. I always stop here for a drink because these margaritas are way better than the ones outside.

On the outside of the pavilion, there are two dining locations and a margarita stand. One of the outdoor restaurants is La Hacienda de San Angel. This restaurant is one of the table service dining options in Epcot. This 12,000 sq. ft. restaurant at the Mexico Pavilion has 250 seats. Here you can eat authentic Mexican cuisine with a stunning view of the World Showcase Lagoon.

The outdoor quick service location is La Cantina de San Angel, which serves such Mexican favorites as tacos, churros, tostados, Mexican beer, and margaritas in the outdoor café. Across from here, you can find Choza De Margarita; they have small bites and, of course, margaritas.
