A lot of new restaurants have opened at Disney World recently!
Here at DFB, we really like food (it IS in our name, after all), so we’ve eaten at all of the Disney World restaurants and tried almost all of the food Disney has to offer (you know, for science). With the opening of several new restaurants, we’re rounding up some of the most popular items at Disney World’s newest restaurants — take a look at what made the list!
Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 is a relatively new restaurant found at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. As is made obvious by its name, this spot’s main fare is steak, but it has some great non-steak options, as well! In fact, we think the non-steak items are so good, we didn’t even include any steaks from Steakhouse 71 on this list.
For starters (both literally and figuratively), we’ve gotta talk about the French Onion Soup. This soup was one of our favorite things we got at this restaurant and it was so delicious, thick, cheesy, and flavorful. The French Onion Soup is available for $10.
The Steakhouse 71 Stack Burger is also a great option. It is made with a signature blend of beef, American cheese, lemon aïoli, red onion, and house-made pickles topped with a brioche bun. It’s also served with pork belly on top for some more added flavor. We really enjoyed this burger; the sauce was flavorful, it was loaded up with cheese, and it was cooked perfectly. Be warned: this menu item is only available at lunchtime. You can grab this burger for $20.
Another delicious item that’s only available during lunch is the Gourmet Grilled Cheese. It’s made with toasted brioche, gruyère, smoked gouda, shredded pork belly, caramelized onion jam, and arugula. This grilled cheese is the PERFECT mix of sweet and salty thanks to the onion jam, and we really enjoyed it! You can try this grilled cheese for $16.
And, of course, we have to talk about some dessert! The real star of the dessert show at Steakhouse 71 is the Chocolate Cake.
To start off, just look at those layers! This cake is layers of whiskey-infused chocolate cake, chocolate mousse, and raspberries. This cake looks huge and daunting, but it’s not as rich as it appears and isn’t overly sweet either. You can order the Chocolate Cake from Steakhouse 71 for $11.

Connections Eatery
Now, we’re heading on over to EPCOT to see what’s the most popular at Connections Eatery. Connections Eatery is the newest quick-service restaurant to hit the park, along with the Connections Cafe, the park’s new Starbucks. This restaurant specializes in unique takes on classic food.
For entrees, one of the most popular choices is the French Bistro Burger. This burger is a gourmet beef blend with caramelized onions, bacon, brie, mushrooms, and dijon mayonnaise, on a toasted brioche bun. The toppings really make the whole thing with all the ooey gooey cheese, plenty of sauce, and bacon. This is one of the best burgers that we’ve had in a Disney World park! You can grab the French Bistro Burger for $12.99.
Another good option at Connections is the Hand-Breaded Chicken Sandwich. This sandwich has house-made pickles, signature sauce, and a toasted brioche bun. We really, really enjoyed this sandwich. The chicken was nice and juicy and wasn’t overly fried. The sauce and pickles also made for a great flavor on this one, as well. The Chicken Sandwich is $11.99.
Our final entree item at Connections that we think is popular is the Curry Spice Pizza. The pizza comes topped with tikka masala, carrots, potatoes, peas, tomato, plant-based mozzarella cheese, and lime “yogurt.” If you’re worried about the spice with this one, don’t be. The curry adds great flavor without being overly spicy and the plant-based “yogurt” also helped to mellow out the spice. The Curry Spice Pizza is a really great choice for plant-based eaters and meat eaters alike because it is filling and very unique tasting. You can grab this pizza for $10.99.
Alright, now that we’ve gone through some popular entrees, let’s talk desserts! Connections has a few different options, but there are two that really stand out. The first is the Liege Waffle. This waffle is made from brioche dough with pearl sugar, strawberries, whipped cream, and chocolate sauce. This waffle really has it all, it’s got a great crunch, fresh strawberries, and of course that amazing whipped cream on top. This waffle is also pretty decently priced as it’s $5.29 and big enough to share.
And finally, we have the Apple Pie Gelato Shake. This is a really great option if you’re looking for something cold and sweet. It has a great texture and is very apple-cinnamon-tasting if you’re into those kinds of flavors.
You can grab the Apple Pie Gelato Shake for $7.29.

Space 220
Also located at EPCOT, Space 220 is a full-service restaurant that is meant to simulate the feeling of dining in space. Space 220 is a prix fixe dining experience, so you’ll be paying $55 at lunch and $79 at dinner. The prix fixe dinner price includes a dessert.
There are a couple of things here that are pretty popular. The first is an appetizer: the Blue Moon Cauliflower. It’s tempura fried cauliflower, housemade hot sauce, and blue cheese dust and it is SO good. This is one of our favorite appetizers here; it’s deliciously crunchy and the hot sauce adds just the right amount of kick to it, as well.
And for an entree, you should try the 8oz Filet Mignon. It comes with cabernet butter, a potato leek croquette, and haricot vert. The filet was cooked perfectly and practically melted in our mouths and the cabernet butter was delicious. Even the potato-leek croquette was a winner!
Both the Blue Moon Cauliflower and the 8oz Filet Mignon are available during lunch and dinner.

BoardWalk Deli
And finally, we have BoardWalk Deli. BoardWalk Deli is the newest addition to the BoardWalk Inn and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Let’s get into a few of this quick spot’s most popular items! At breakfast, the Everything Bagel Sandwich is a real winner. This bagel sandwich is made with cage-free egg, a sausage patty, and cheddar on an everything bagel with your choice of side. This sandwich is a really good option! The egg was runny, and they were not shy with the cheese. If you want to get the Everything Bagel Sandwich, it’s $8.99.
You can also get the Bagel Breakfast Sandwich which is bacon, cage-free egg, caramelized onion, and cheddar on a regular bagel. We liked this one just as much as the Everything Bagel Sandwich solely for the caramelized onion. The bacon and egg were fine, but the onion really stole the show. This bagel sandwich is also $8.99.
Another great option that’s available all day is the Cinnamon Yummy. This thing is seriously good, it’s sticky, it’s sweet, and it has the perfect cinnamon flavor — plus, it’s not covered in icing, so if you’re not an icing fan, you might like this one! You can grab the Cinnamon Yummy for $4.49.
And finally, at lunchtime, the Grilled Cheese and Tomato-Basil Soup is a popular offering. This is a really great grilled cheese sandwich with two different types of cheeses (cheddar and provolone) on multigrain bread. The Tomato-Basil Soup is also delicious.
You can get the Grilled Cheese and Tomato-Basil Soup for both lunch and dinner at the BoardWalk Deli for $9.99.
