If you thought our weekly Monday Merch Meetings made me hungry, this latest Disney food news has caused an all-time level of mouth-watering munchies. Yesterday Disney Parks Blog announced a new lineup of menu items coming to Disney Parks and Resorts on both coasts, with some dishes available from today. Let’s take a look at what’s new and where you can find it.
Gasparilla Island Grill – Disney’s Grand Floridian
There are a few new items that can be found at the Grand Floridian’s Gasparilla Island Grill, starting with lighter options for a healthier breakfast with the Açai Bowl and Egg White Breakfast Wrap.
Lunch and dinner options include a variety of new sandwiches, including Italian Sandwich, Caprese Sandwich, Cuban Sandwich, and the Blackened Chicken Sandwich, all of which look delicious and are described in flavorful detail in the article you can find here. Another option for this time of the day is the new Broccoli & Roasted Tomato Flatbread.
At dinner service, you will find Mojo Chicken Bowl and Mojo Seitan Bowl; both filled with nutritious goodness and those famous Florida flavors we can’t get enough of.
Backstretch Pool Bar – Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort
The Backstretch Pool Bar has some new fare on offer from September 16th that include a New York-style Hot Dog and the confusing yet delicious-looking Buffalo Chicken Nachos.
Sunshine Seasons – EPCOT
Within the Land Pavilion at EPCOT, you will find Sunshine Seasons, a casual dining location that now has a few added options to their mention, including the breakfast item Ham, Egg, and Cheese Breakfast Sandwich, which comes with fresh fruit, Overnight Oats, or a Greek Yogurt. Come lunchtime, be sure to check out the new dishes available, like the Roast Beef Sandwich and the plant-based Mediterranean Vegetable Sandwich, or the Fish Tacos.
Magic Kingdom Park – Adult Beverages
Over in Magic Kingdom Park, the Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen has some new drinks for those over 21 years of age to try, like the Jungle Bird Cocktail and the Golden Haze Margarita.
When dining at Liberty Tree Tavern and The Diamond Horseshoe, you can enjoy the new Gold Rush and Magical Beacon Cocktails – a special concoction in honor of the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Disneyland Park & California Adventure
Troubadour Tavern in Disneyland will have fans cheering at the return of their beloved Bacon & Sour Cream Stuffed Baked Potato – I want four of them, and I want them now – while over in California Adventure, the Pacific Wharf Café has a new Pastrami Sandwich. Pumpkin-lovers, this one is for you. Make your way to the Pacific Wharf Cappuccino Cart for some of the new Pumpkin-spiced Horchata Cold Brew.
Paradise Garden Grill has a Traditional Tamale Plate to share with you all, and the Studio Catering Truck is offering some mouth-watering Ghost Pepper Potato Bites.
Hearthstone Lounge – Grand Californian Resort
Hearthstone Lounge has a new menu to show off that now offers Achiote Shrimp & Grits and Steak Frites, both pictured above and look incredible. The dining location also hosts several new cocktails, including the Rye Sour.
Tangaroa Terrace & Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar – Disneyland Hotel
Thick & Fluffy Japanese Pancakes are perfect for anyone looking for a new perspective on a traditional classic, while new savory options include a pork-based Tonkotsu Ramen.
Sprinkles – Downtown Disney
Though some of you might recall I am somewhat skeptical when it comes to Disney cupcakes looking fantastic and tasting less so, I’m just going to leave the full description of these two beauties right here, and you can decide for yourself if they sound like the best thing ever invented.
“Sprinkles has some seasonal flavors coming throughout the month of September if you’re looking for a sweet pick-me-up. La Gloria is a caramel cake with pecans, dulce de leche filling, and salted caramel frosting dusted with cinnamon sugar. The Pumpkin cupcake has flavors of ginger, clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon topped with cinnamon cream cheese frosting. The Pumpkin Spice Latte is a pumpkin cake filled with marshmallow cream and topped with Cuban coffee frosting. Lastly, the Salted Chocolate Caramel features a caramel cake filled with ganache, topped with dark chocolate frosting, and finished with dulce de leche drizzle and fleur de sel.“
Which do you want to try first?
