Are you ready to get caught up on ALL the latest Disney news? You’ve come to the right place!

This week has been a busy one! Disney+ Day happened, the D23 Expo has begun, Oogie Boogie Bash started at Disneyland Resort, and MORE Disney news was shared. So what are you waiting for?! Let’s dive into the biggest news stories from this week right here.

1 — HUGE Parks Updates!

The D23 Expo has begun and huge news has already been shared. Disney has announced that there will be a NEW Tiana’s Palace restaurant in Disneyland…

…revealed that there will be a NEW Tiana-themed store in Disneyland…

…and even shared a first look at the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride coming to Disney World and Disneyland.

We also got a peek at the Walt Disney statue coming to EPCOT…

…the GIANT Te Fiti figure coming to EPCOT…

…NEW dining options coming to Mickey’s Toontown in Disneyland, and Disneyland’s reimagining of Mickey’s Toontown.

That’s just the tip of the iceberg though! There are tons of other updates on the way so stay tuned for more news.

2 — Extended Evening Hours DHS

First, in big parks news, Extended Evening Hours is returning to Disney’s Hollywood Studios on two nights this holiday season!

Extended Evening Hours is the special perk offered to those staying at Disney World Deluxe Hotels, Deluxe Villas, or select other participating hotels. With this perk, qualifying guests can spend extra time at night in select parks on certain dates.

Generally, Extended Evening Hours are offered in Magic Kingdom and EPCOT, but it was offered just ONCE in the past at Hollywood Studios. Now, that perk is returning to Hollywood Studios on December 15th and 22nd. During those Extended Evening Hours nights, popular rides in the park including Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and Slinky Dog Dash will all be available for qualifying hotel guests to enjoy with fewer crowds around. It’s a perk you won’t want to miss if you qualify!

3 — Disney World Hotel Deal

Speaking of Disney World hotels, if you’re hoping to book a stay for this December, there’s a special deal you need to know about. On Disney+ Day (September 8th, 2022), Disney announced that Disney+ subscribers can save on a hotel stay this holiday season!

Disney+ subscribers can save up to 20% at many Disney World hotels for most stays from December 11th to December 25th, 2022.

You do have to be a Disney+ subscriber to book this deal and the Disney+ subscriber must stay in the room. If you’re not already a Disney+ subscriber, you could subscribe now to take advantage of this offer. There’s actually a big discount being offered on Disney+ subscriptions right now, so you could pick up a subscription at a cheaper price and then book your hotel to get the best rate possible!

4 — The Biggest Disney Event of the Year Has Begun!

We’ve been waiting a LOOOOOONG time for it, but it has finally arrived. Disney’s biggest event of the year — the D23 Expo — has started in Anaheim, California! We’ve already shared a LOT of info about the event, but now we’re finally live, in person, coving everything you need to know about the convention.

Recently, we shared a look at the celebrities that will appear at the Expo (it’s some big names!), as well as news that some TRON ride vehicles will be available for guests to check out.

Not heading to the Expo this year? No worries! There are still plenty of ways you can participate in the fun from home! First, you can stay up to date with all of our posts covering the Expo (of course ). But you can also shop for D23 Expo merchandise on Amazon or hop on to the D23 Expo livestream to watch some of the panels and see exclusive content!

During the Expo, Disney will be sharing all kinds of exciting info about new Disney movies and shows, new things coming to the Disney parks, and lots more.

We’ll be LIVE at the Expo sharing a look at the booths, the panels, the merchandise, and SO much more. D23 Expo runs from September 9th-11th, so be sure to check back with us all weekend long for the latest updates.

5 — Disney+ Perks & Updates

Disney+ Day also happened this week and brought with it some exciting news. First, Disney+ subscribers can (for a limited time) book a Disney Cruise and get 2 additional passengers to sail for FREE! If you’ve always wanted to book a cruise but have hesitated because of the cost, this could change your mind!

Also, a free food offer for Disney+ subscribers in partnership with Uber has been extended! Don’t miss your chance to order some great eats at a cheaper price.

You could also get a month of Disney+ for just $1.99 if you take advantage of a special deal. That deal will end on September 19th, so act fast!

What NEW things will you be able to watch on Disney+ once you have your subscription? Well, the live-action Pinocchio movie, a BTS concert special, Thor Love and Thunder, and much more have all landed on Disney+ in celebration of Disney+ Day!

Plus, there is more exciting content to look forward to. On Disney+ Day, Disney also announced the FULL Dancing with the Stars cast for its upcoming Disney+ premiere.

If you were in the parks on Disney+ Day, you got to experience some special perks like early entry and the ability to see some exciting characters, like Mirabel from Encanto!

6 — Halloween Updates

This week also brought us some exciting Halloween updates! At Disneyland, the iconic Haunted Mansion Holiday Nightmare Before Christmas ride overlay is officially in place, gingerbread house and all!

Plus, there are lots of spooky snacks to try at Disneyland Resort, and some special Halloween fireworks too!

At Disney California Adventure Park (also at Disneyland Resort) Oogie Boogie Bash has officially begun! This special, separately ticketed event has all kinds of spooktacular things to enjoy and we attended the first party night to share the details with you!

Some of the BIG highlights at this year’s party include the appearance of Bruno from Encanto…

…the appearance of Ernesto de la Cruz from Coco(!!)…

…and the appearance of other NEW villains in the parks as well. From sold-out crowds to snacks, merch, entertainment, and more — we’ve got ALL the Oogie Boogie Bash info you need!

7 — New Snacks

And finally, in terms of bigger news, there are LOTS of new snacks coming to Disney World and Disneyland in honor of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month!

There will be some NEW birria tacos, a new frozen mojito, a new tres leches cake, a new tres leches cupcake, and so much more!
