Flags were lowered to half-staff at Disneyland in memory of Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away earlier today at 96.
Queen Elizabeth II was the longest-serving British monarch, reigning for over 70 years, more than the entire span of Disneyland’s history. Her son, Charles, immediately assumed the title as King on her death.
We spotted the lowered flags on Main Street, U.S.A., just before 1:30 p.m. PT.
The flag will be lowered completely during today’s flag retreat ceremony, scheduled to take place at 4:30 p.m. It’s unclear as of the writing of this article as to whether flags will continue to be at half-staff tomorrow.
