Orlando International Airport is set to open up a brand NEW terminal soon. It’s not open yet but we got a SNEAK PEEK at it recently and now we’re sharing all the details with you!
The NEW Terminal C will feature lots of delicious dining spots, new merchandise, an upgraded security system, and more. But it’s not quite ready for you to experience yet.
Previously, Orlando International Airport had shared that Terminal C would open on September 19th. At least, that was its “projected” opening date. They also noted that Terminal C’s opening would take place over the two-week period that begins on September 19th.
So we made our way over to Terminal C bright and early on September 19th to see what the situation was like.
We drove underneath signs for the new terminal…
…and got closer and closer to our destination.
We even got a nice look at the front of Terminal C as we drove over to the parking garage.
The parking garage, unfortunately, did not have any special lights to indicate open spots (like the one at Disney Springs does), but we were able to park and check out details about the parking lot and surrounding area.
The parking sign shows the different parking levels as well as information about rental cars and the train station.
As we walked over to Terminal C we spotted signs for the new Brightline train station which is set to open in Terminal C in 2023.
And then something interesting happened. We weren’t able to go inside the new terminal. According to the security guard we spoke to, Terminal C won’t open to the public until tomorrow, September 20th.
Online reports seem to show mixed dates for Terminal C’s opening, with some having reported that September 19th date, and others, like Fox 35 Orlando, more recently reporting a September 20th opening date. It seems that, as had been previously indicated, the opening will be taking place over time, but the opening to the public has NOT started yet.
The September 20th opening date corresponds with the arrival of the first airlines to Terminal C — Aer Lingus and GOL. Other airlines will arrive later at Terminal C, including jetBlue on September 27th.
Once Terminal C is fully open, it will also feature a whole bunch of new concession spots — including Art Smith’s Sunshine Diner, Summer House, a Wine Bar George location, places from the people behind The Polite Pig, and much more.
There will also be a brand NEW Disney store, a putting green at PGA Tour & Grill, special media experiences, and more.
If you’re looking for an upgraded security experience, Terminal C will have that too.

We’ll keep an eye out for more updates on the opening of this new terminal and let you know what we find.
