Kevin and Jody have quickly gained a name for creating beautifully detailed and elaborate Disney-themed figures, and it seems they’ve done it again with a new La Tanière du Dragon figure themed to the massive audio-animatronic beneath Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant at Disneyland Paris!

They shared the new piece, which will be exclusively available at the D23 Expo Marketplace this year, on Instagram.

“Because of our creative involvement with Disneyland Paris over the past several years, we were invited to conjure up some special collectibles based on our favorite DLP details. One of the best “secrets” at the Park, in our opinion, is the slumbering dragon in the dark, watery caves beneath Sleeping Beauty Castle. We’re ecstatic with how beautifully this #limitededition piece—actually three pieces—has turned out.”

“Surprises like this take a lot of time to prepare. Would you believe we started the concept sketches two years ago— during the long, weird summer of 2020 when we were quarantined at home. Keeping ourselves preoccupied with dragons and castles helped get us through it.” they add.

These images document the two-year creation process which lead to the figure’s creation.
