Disney World Website Hints at Possible Kona Café Reopening Date

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is home to some of our absolute favorite places to grab a bite to eat!

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

Between ‘Ohana, Trader Sam’s, Capt. Cook’s, and more — there are plenty of options. But lately, one such option has been missing from the Poly’s lineup — Kona Café. Disney announced that this table-service spot would be closing for refurbishment but didn’t indicate for how long. But, something on the Disney World website makes us think that Kona Café could be reopening very soon!

We were sad to learn that Kona Café would be closing for refurb, but are excited to see what enhancements and updates are being made to this table-service spot!

Kona Cafe

We were poking around the Disney World website and checked the calendar for Kona Café — and it looks like there are still no times available through October 31st, 2022.

But, beginning the next day — November 1st — restaurant hours are listed as available once again! As of right now, it doesn’t look like you can make reservations for Kona Café just yet, but we’ll let you know when that changes.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out Kona Café before, some of their more notable dishes include the famous Tonga Toast for breakfast, as well as specialty sushi rolls, poke bowls, and burgers for dinner.

Next time you can’t snag that last minute ‘Ohana breakfast or dinner reservation, consider giving Kona Café a try instead!
