Looking for a quiet spot to take a break during a busy day in EPCOT? Sponsored by Florida Blue Medicare, the Florida Blue Medicare Loungeis BACK at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival, and this year it underwent some changes. You can find this year’s lounge in the former location of Restaurant Marrakesh in the Morocco Pavilion.
Restaurant Marrakesh
In 2021, the lounge was exclusively available only to Florida Blue members and their guests, but this year anyone can visit by applying for a guest pass. You can apply through the My Disney Experience app (just search “Florida Blue”) or by visiting the Florida Blue website. It’s totally free to apply!
To apply for a guest pass you must provide your name, email, phone number, and date of birth, and you must be 18 or older. One form is required per party, so you don’t need to apply for individual passes for everyone in your group.
When you get to the lounge, show your lounge pass to the Cast Member at the door, and they’ll let you in! The lounge is open daily from 12PM to 6PM, and here’s what it looks like inside! There are plenty of spaces to sit and relax in the cool air conditioning.

The theme of the lounge is to “renew, refresh, and recharge.”

Disney releases new recipes from time to time, allowing us the opportunity to make some of our favorite treats at home. We loved this treat from the Halloween party, and if you did too, you can now make it at home!
Be sure to allow a while for this recipe, as the batter has to sit in the fridge for a minimum of 8-12 hours!
Ingredients
Almond Sweet Corn Cake
10 tablespoons butter
7 egg whites
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3/4 cup almond flour
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons corn extract
1 teaspoon yellow food coloring
Topping
1 cup white chocolate melting discs
Yellow food coloring
Orange food coloring
Candy corn
Look how soft it is!
Instructions
Melt butter in a small saucepan over medium-low heat, swirling occasionally for 5 minutes. Once butter foams and begins to brown, pour the butter and solids into a small bowl. Let cool for 15 minutes.
Whip egg yolks in the bowl of an electric mixer with a whisk attachment for 20 seconds and then set aside.
Combine powdered sugar, almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Add reserved egg whites, corn extract, and yellow food coloring and whisk to combine. Stir in brown butter.
Cover and refrigerate the batter 8-12 hours before baking.
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Spread 1/2 cup batter into four 7.3-inch silicone corn molds. Place molds on a baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool for 5 minutes and remove from molds.
Cool completely before decorating.
Topping
Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl according to package instructions.
Evenly divide melted white chocolate among 3 bowls. Leave one bowl white. Add the desired amount of yellow and orange to the remaining bowls to make yellow and orange icing to match the candy corn.
Drizzle each cooled cake with all 3 colors of white chocolate and decorate with candy corn.
This might really confuse your guests because it can look so much like corn but it’s CAKE! It is such a fun recipe and treat and we think it will make a great addition to your Friendsgiving or Thanksgiving this fall. Try out the recipe and let us know how it goes!!

A lot is going on at Disney World right now — Halloween time, Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month, and other unique offerings. And Disney Springs is also joining in on the fun! So, without further delay, let’s see what’s new at Disney Springs.
From September 15th through October 15th, Disney is celebrating Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month. And, of course, you can find some limited-time treats in Disney Springs. Over at Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, they’re offering 2 limited-time treats for the celebration. First up is the Dulce de Leche Donut for $6.50. It’s a cinnamon-sugar coated donut filled with dulce de leche cream, iced with Mexican chocolate, and topped with even more dulce de leche cream. YUM — right?!
Dulce de Leche Donut
Well, we definitely thought so. While we were worried the treat may be too sweet, it ended up having perfectly-balanced flavors. It’s also sharable, which is a win in our book! We recommend giving this one a try if you’re a dulce de leche fan.
And that’s not all — they also have a Dulce de Leche Cold Brew for $6.50! It’s a sweet cold brew, without being too overpowering.
Dulce de Leche Cold Brew
It’s honestly a pretty simple drink, it doesn’t have a ton of special toppings or syrup. So, if you’re a fan of the sweeter drinks, you may not be a fan of this one.
It says “you warm my heart” and includes the saying in Spanish on the bottom. This new installation seems to be inspired by the celebration of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month.
Wonderground Gallery
The Wonderground Gallery section at the Disney Springs Marketplace Co-op has been transformed into a Marvel space. There’s gear inspired by the comics…
