Character Dining and Margarita Price Increases Hit Some Disney World Restaurants This Week

If you have your heart set on eating something specific in Disney World, we always recommend one thing: check the restaurant menu.

Swan and Dolphin Resort

That’s because menu changes happen ALL the time: new foods get added and old favorites disappear. Prices go up, and sometimes they even go down. That’s why we take a look at Disney World restaurant menus every week: to help YOU keep track of those changes!

So let’s take a look at the Disney World restaurant menu changes this week!

Magic Kingdom

Crystal Palace

Now that character dining has returned to Crystal Palace, the price of the buffet has increased. For lunch and dinner, the buffet is now $59 per adult and $38 per child — before, it was $39 per adult and $23 per child.

Characters will be returning to breakfast on October 25th. The buffet will cost $45 per adult and $29 per child. Previously, the price was $42 per adult and $27 per child.

We’ll also keep reporting on menu changes!

Once you’re sure about what you want to eat, be sure to make those advance dining reservations as early as you can, which is 60 days before the first day of your trip!

PHOTOS: Betty White’s Personal Disney Collection Auctioned Off For Thousands

We’re constantly looking for unique Disney items.

Betty White handprints in Disney World

Disney snacks, birds, hotels — you can find interesting merchandise inspired by just about anything. But belongings from the late actress, Betty White, are being auctioned off, and these Disney items are as unique as it gets.

Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills is auctioning off Betty White’s belongings both online and in-person. The auction is taking place September 23rd-25th and there are toooons of interesting Disney items in the mix. So, of course, most of these items have already been sold.

©Julien’s Auctions

We’ll start off with the Waterford Crystal Mickey Mouse Statue! This figurine belonged to Betty White and was inspired by The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. It has “Waterford” engraved on the bottom of the base, as well as “1996 Official Disneyana Convention.” It was estimated at $300-$500 and sold for $2,560.

They also sold her 1998 Disney D23 Event-Worn Jacket. She wore this jacket while being recognized by Bob Iger, former Disney CEO, for her work in television at the 2009 D23 Expo. This item was estimated at $200-$300 and sold for $3,840.

Another unique item is the Disney-MGM Studios Mickey “Outstanding Contribution to Television Trophy.” This trophy was presented to Betty White in 1989 and features Mickey atop a wooden base. It was estimated at $500-$700 and sold for $7,680.

And take a look at the Vintage Name Tags. They are 3 name tags personally owned by Betty White. Two of them are pinbacks, while the other is a plaque. They were estimated at $200-$300 and sold for $2,880.

Looking for a Delicious and Unique Flatbread in Magic Kingdom? Here’s Where to Go!

Welcome to Magic Kingdom! The home of many things — nostalgic rides, magical parades, wonderful snacks, and so much more.

We love MK!

We’re always on the lookout for new snacks in Disney so we can review them and tell you what they’re like. We headed over to Pinocchio Village Haus to try out a flatbread on their menu, and we were pleasantly surprised!

The Chicken Souvlaki Flatbread is currently available for $11.99 over at Pinocchio Village Haus. It’s a regular flatbread with marinated chicken, tomatoes, cucumber, and tzatziki on top.

The Chicken Souvlaki Flatbread

Our reporter admitted that she was a little weary of this one, but was pleasantly surprised! The flatbread was cooked well but the chicken is the star! It’s marinated, tender, and has a great taste. The toppings work well together and make it a light and somewhat refreshing meal on a hot day. It’s not as heavy as some other Disney flatbreads can be.

The toppings!

However, there was a lot of onion and cucumber, especially in the center of the flatbread, so if you’re not a fan of those flavors, this likely isn’t for you. But if you want a filling meal that isn’t going to sit heavy in your stomach and you enjoy the lighter taste of fresh veggies, this may be the item is a great option!

Delicious!

Looking for more food to try around Magic Kingdom? Check out all the new Halloween snacks that are coming to the park for the season, and now you can dine with Winnie The Pooh and friends for breakfast back at Crystal Palace! As always, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest Disney snack news.

WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them! Check out our DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining + Snacks Bundle for all the details you need to plan your snackin’ and spending. You can even download them to your smartphone – it’ll be like we’re right there with you in the parks! Use code WDW2022 to get 25% off!

FIRST LOOK: In-Depth Plans for New Lakeside Restaurant Coming to Walt Disney Studios Park

Earlier this year, we shared the concept art for the new “picturesque promenade” and restaurant coming to Walt Disney Studios Park in Disneyland Paris. Now, thanks to Outsidears, we have an in-depth look at the new restaurant coming to the area!

disneyland paris

The restaurant will have two distinct dining areas: a bar area, with a capacity of 75 seats, and a dining room, with 250 seats.

This restaurant will boast views of the lake and the shows that occur there.

IMG20220412190319

Between the restaurant and the lake, the lake promenade, located below the dining room, will allow visitors to watch the show on the lake without obstructing the view of the restaurant’s guests.

In addition to this restaurant, we know a “Tangled”-themed round ride will be just off of the promenade. To one side of the promenade will be the updated Toy Story Playland entrance, across from the new English Gardens area. A floor rosette will be at the opposite end from the “Tangled” attraction, along with a food truck.

What are you most looking forward to in the new area at Walt Disney Studios Park? Let us know in the comments.

Coca-Cola Rooftop Bar in Disney Springs No Longer Serving Alcohol, Liquor License Ended

When we stopped by the Coca-Cola Store Rooftop Bar today in Disney Springs, we noticed that all alcohol has been removed from the menu.

IMG 7464

The rooftop bar was known for serving cocktails featuring Coca-Cola products, such as “Spiked Vanilla Coke” or “Blackberry Fresca Paloma”. Now those beverages are no longer available.

IMG 7465

A cast member at the location told us that “Coke just decided not to renew the liquor license.”

IMG 7466

The Habanero Lime Fresca is the featured beverage right now.

IMG 7468

The menu now centers around Coca-Cola products with no mention of alcohol.

IMG 7471

The Coca-Cola Freestyle machines are also down currently.

IMG 7472

Will the elimination of liquor from the menu keep you from visiting this bar next time you’re in Disney Springs? Let us know in the comments.
