Well, we definitely are. It was previously announced that Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Toy Story Land would open in 2022, bringing play sets, rodeo fun, and good ol’ BBQ with it. But with an opening date missing from this year’s D23 Expo announcements, can we really expect to see the restaurant open before the year ends? We can only hope so. For now, let’s take a look at the construction progress over at Roundup Rodeo BBQ!
Over in Hollywood Studios, you may have noticed some new scaffolding!
Scaffolding has gone up
Yes, that’s right — new scaffolding went up over at Roundup Rodeo BBQ! This is a new addition in the area, and we even heard some work being done when we passed by. And on a recent trip, some tan screens were placed on the scaffolding.
A peek at construction
Aside from the scaffolding, not much has changed in the area. It’s tough to know if this means a 2022 opening is still realistic, so we’ll continue to keep you updated on any new progress. Several new pins arrived at Disneyland Resort this week, including pins celebrating the 60th anniversary of Spider-Man and the 75th anniversary of “Fun and Fancy Free.” These are available at Pin Traders in Downtown Disney District and 20th Century Music Co. in Disneyland.
This set includes eight Spider-Man pins. Each box contains two randomly selected pins.
This pin reads “Beyond Amazing” and features Spider-Man in blue on top and red on the bottom.
This jumbo pin features Spidey leaping forward, with “Beyond Amazing” below him. Comic panels are behind him like a web.
This mystery set is part of the “One Family” 2022 Pin Celebration collection. Each pin features a different Disney Villains family.
Marie the Aristocat is lounging on top of a stack of macarons on this pin by Ann Shen.
This pin folds out to reveal three panels, each featuring a different one of the kittens.
This “Beautiful Florals” pin features Rapunzel behind the sliding flower.
Meeko from “Pocahontas” is in front of a fall wreath.
In honor of the 75th anniversary of “Fun and Fancy Free,” this pin is inspired by “Bongo.” The front features a circus poster for “Bongo” and the 75th anniversary.
It opens up to reveal Bongo showing off for Lulubelle.
The front of this pin resembles a keyhole, with beanstalks growing to either side, in honor of “Mickey and the Beanstalk.”
It opens, showing Mickey and Donald holding the key with the singing harp.
Celebrate Rosh Hashanah with Mickey and Minnie, who are eating apple slices on this pin.
The original “DuckTales” turns 35 this year. This pin shaped like a TV features Scrooge, Huey, Dewey, and Louie in Scrooge’s pile of gold coins.

Welcome to another spooky night at the Universal Orlando Resort. We’re back at Universal Studios Florida and ready for more Halloween Horror Nights fun, When arriving at the New York Stay and Scream area tonight, we were excited to find that the maps have finally arrived.
The event guides were delayed this year, so if you visited at the start of the season, maps were not available. Of course we grabbed one for our collection.
In case you missed it, there are Halloween Horror Nights NFTs available now. The larger sign had been removed due to a typo, but a smaller sign has popped up outside of the Universal Studios Store.
If you picked up this year’s limited edition record from Midnight Syndicate, there is a signing at the 5 & 10 on October 5 from 6 PM to 9 PM.
The lines for food tonight have been really short, despite the park being busy. We took advantage of these short lines to grab some of our favorite HHN snacks. When there’s no line at Louie’s, it’s time for Reuben Fries. You can get Pizza Fries or Reuben Fries here at Louie’s Italian Restaurant if you want to skip the lines at KidZone Pizza Company. Unfortunately, the Vegan Pizza Fries are only available at KidZone.
There are some pre-packaged snacks for those with certain dietary restrictions. Louie’s Italian Restaurant, KidZone Pizza Company, and Cafe la Bamba are some of the locations we’ve spotted these treats.
These short food lines are just so tempting.
Couldn’t resist the call of Lil’ Boo’s Spicy Pumpkin Bun. These are one of the best snacks available for Halloween Horror Nights. You can read our full review of this and the rest of the booth in our post here.
Grab a Freestyle cup and get ready for the secret menu! There’s a secret menu option on the Freestyle machines.

If you’re Lil’ Boo’s biggest fan, you might just need Lil’ Boo’s biggest fan. These were flying off the shelves tonight. They’re $15 and we found it in the Tribute Store.
Sahara Traders has so much new Universal Monsters merchandise. This reversible Bride of Frankenstein bucket has is perfect. This hat is available for $30.
There’s also a Frankenstein cap for $27.
The pins and keychains are absolutely beautiful. The pins are $11 each and the keychains are $13.
This bag is sure to sell out quickly. It’s simple and elegant and can be found at Sahara Traders for $60. The lightning bolt zipper is a nice touch.
Now that Fall has arrived, this Frankenstein hoodie is a great way to stay warm on a cool night. This hoodie is $55. There’s been a ton of new Universal Monsters merchandise released lately, so stay tuned for our full merchandise post.
We took a ride on Transformers and noticed an effect we hadn’t seen in forever. After the scene where Megatron shoots at the ride vehicle, the smoke effect has returned.
Wait times are around 100 minutes during the peak of the night. A few houses have 2 hour waits. Even Hellblock Horror had an hour wait. It’s been getting busier each night since the event started.
