The Halloween decorations put us in the perfect spooky mood to celebrate the first day of fall at Magic Kingdom. Let’s do some shopping to see what new things we can find.

Work is continuing on Center Street in Magic Kingdom as it appears more paving has been done. Center Street has been under construction for four months.

We also spotted street construction on the hub by Cinderella Castle. Work is being done to remove the brickwork from the street.

Two new ornaments were available in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. The first is a limited release Daisy Duck legacy sketchbook ornament celebrating her 85th anniversary.

Our favorite pal Pluto was meeting guests in Storybook Circus today. This meet-and-greet was not listed on the My Disney Experience app. It was a surprise to see Pluto today and you never know what characters you may run into while at the parks.

Faux leather Star Wars ears featuring the Empire and the Rebel Alliance have been restocked in Magic Kingdom. We haven’t seen these ears in a while. We spotted them in Curtain Call Collectibles.

Before we headed out for the day we decided to take a ride on the PeopleMover! Thanks for following along with our day.

Construction Moving Slowly For Downtown Disney District Reimagining

While demolition was completed and the land was cleared four months ago, we haven’t seen significant construction at Downtown Disney District yet. The district’s west side is being completely reimagined.

Several construction vehicles are parked at the site, behind construction walls. One section is roped off with orange tape.

The reimagining will “introduce more innovative shopping, dining and entertainment experiences.”

It will draw inspiration from Southern California mid-century modern architecture and include an open lawn for relaxing and events.

Bob Iger, Former Disney CEO, Named Honorary Knight By Late Queen Elizabeth II

It was announced that Bob Iger, former Disney CEO, was named an Honorary Knight of the British Empire by the United Kingdom government.

Bob Iger

He was named alongside legendary composer John Williams by the Queen before her passing. This news was announced today on the United Kingdom government website. Bob Iger expressed his gratitude for the title on twitter, stating his gratitude and affection for the late Queen Elizabeth II and the people within the United Kingdom.

He continues to remark on his naming with John Williams, showing respect for the widely renowned composer. With Williams having a history with the Walt Disney Company, it seems fitting that the two would be named together.

With the world mourning the recent passing of Queen Elizabeth II, we can see the influence she had within her life. At Disneyland Resort, flags were lowered to half staff in remembrance of the Queen, and many guests placed items in the United Kingdom pavilion at EPCOT to remember her by.

What’s New at Disney World Hotels: Blue Ice Cream and More NEW Snacks

No matter when your last visit to Disney World was, chances are things are ALREADY different.

Disney’s Yacht Club Resort

We’re in the parks every single day keeping up with it all — but no two days are alike! We decided to take a break from the parks recently (okay, not really) and head to the hotels to check out what was going on. So, let’s see what’s new at the Disney World Resort hotels!

Saratoga Springs Resort Food Updates

Backstretch Pool Bar

Ready for some Disney World snacks you technically don’t need to be fully clothed to eat?! The Backstretch Pool Bar at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort is serving up a few new dishes — including the Buffalo Chicken Nachos for $10.49.

These nachos are made with chips and are covered in blue cheese, blue cheese queso, shredded buffalo chicken, and chopped celery. The buffalo chicken was very fresh and the celery was refreshing and added an extra crunch! We really enjoyed these, but if you’re not a fan of blue cheese or spice, this likely isn’t for you.

Nachos

We also tried the New York Style Hot Dog! This is a traditional Disney hot dog with New York-style onions, which gave it a kick and made it spicy! You can grab it for $9.49.

There’s a hot dog too!

And finally, we tried the Isa Jacaranda Cone which is a special treat for Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month!

Here it is!

This is a blue vanilla soft-serve with a hurricane of fondant flowers and glitter on a green cake cone. Grab it for $6.49.
