If you feel like you’re the only person who gets that pre-trip panic, don’t worry! You’re not alone. It always seems like no matter how much you plan, there’s still that feeling of forgetting something!

Don’t stress! We’ve got you covered

While we might not be able to make that go away, we can help you prepare so you know that you’re covered and can relax and enjoy your vacation. With how busy we are these days it can quickly get down to the wire when it comes to packing!

To save ourselves from running around from store to store, we like to stop at our local Target because we know they’ll have everything we need. Here’s a list of some commonly-forgotten items so you can grab whatever you’re missing so your trip goes off without a hitch!

Sunscreen: Badger Mineral Kids Sunscreen Cream – SPF 40

Believe it or not, people often forget to pack sunscreen! Sometimes you get caught up in remembering to pack specific items like shirts you purchased to wear on your trip, and completely miss the basics. You might also go to pack your sunscreen and realize the day before that it’s almost empty! Head to Target to grab a couple bottles because you WILL need it.

Badger Mineral Kids Sunscreen Cream – SPF 40

This sunscreen by Badger is a great choice for a Disney vacation. It’s a mineral sunscreen which is perfect for sensitive skin. This product is also water resistant for up to 80 minutes! Even if you’re not planning on swimming, we recommend choosing a water resistant sunscreen because it will hold up longer than a traditional sunscreen through both sweat and rain. Don’t forget to keep a bottle in your park bag to reapply throughout the day!

Hats: Toddler Girls’ Disney Baseball Hat

Along with sunscreen, hats are a great way to protect yourself on those long hot days outside. It’s especially important to keep your face shielded from the sun, and a great way to do that is with a hat! Hats also protect your scalp, which is an area often neglected.

Toddler Girls’ Disney Baseball Hat Pink

Target has an awesome selection of different caps, but we are pretty partial to this baseball cap! The neutral colors and classic Minnie silhouette can go with a variety of different outfits. It’s also pretty much the perfect hat to wear to Animal Kingdom!

Portable Charger: Anker PowerCore Select 20000mAh

If you don’t have a portable charger, now is the time to get one! Even if you aren’t the kind of person who uses their phone all day you will have to when you go to Disney. The My Disney Experience app is your best friend in the parks, and if you decide to splurge on Genie+ that’s a whole other story!

Anker PowerCore Select 20000mAh

Just taking pictures and videos throughout the day can really drain your battery. To avoid your phone dying when you need it most you’ll need a portable charger. Disney does offer Fuel Rods that can be rented, but they have a lot of strings attached and you’ll be better off bringing your own. Anker is a trusted brand, and this one has tons of 5-star reviews!

Insulated Water Bottle: Brita 20oz Premium Double-Wall Stainless Steel Insulated Filtered Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is probably our number one tip for having a good vacation at Disney. Dehydration can lead to headaches and muscle cramping, two things you definitely don’t want when you’re trying to walk around outside all day! Combat this by keeping a water bottle by your side at all times.

Brita 20oz Premium Double-Wall Stainless Steel Insulated Filtered Water Bottle

We like using insulated water bottles so our water stays nice and cool all day long. This one by Brita is a customer favorite and keeps water cold for up to 24 hours! Whenever you’re low, just stop by one of the many water stations around the parks for a refill. We also suggest getting a carabiner to clip your water bottle to your backpack for easy access.

Toddler Entertainment for the Plane: Richard Scarry’s Big Busy Sticker & Activity Book

Little ones can easily get restless when sitting on transportation for a long time with nothing to do. Keeping them busy and entertained can be the difference between a great trip and a terrible one! Especially if it’s their first time flying, you want to make sure they have a quiet activity to hold their attention during those down times.

Richard Scarry’s Big Busy Sticker & Activity Book

Any sort of busy book is a great option for those times because it doesn’t make noise, won’t make a mess, and doesn’t require any setup. Richard Scarry is a classic option for younger kids, and we love this sticker and activity book! Bring your favorite crayons to color with and let them enjoy adding stickers and creating their own little world!

Don’t forget to check your toiletry inventory, go over outfits you plan to wear, and consider any other specific items your family may need (baby accessories, medications, etc.). For anything you’re missing, make a shopping list and head to a one stop shop like Target! Knowing you have everything you need will give you peace of mind so you can enjoy your well deserved vacation.
