Kona Café has been under refurbishment since August 17, 2022. On our most recent visit to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, we noticed that a small awning has been added to the front façade.
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort recently underwent a refurbishment just before the 50th Anniversary celebration began. This update the porte cochere, and the resort rooms took on a “Moana” theme. It seems that Kona Cafe is finally getting that same refurbishment.
The small awning is jutting out of the wall at the entrance to Kona Cafe. It is made up of small wooden boards, that are spaced out and titled to form an a-line roof structure.
This same design can be seen on the exterior facade of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Kona Cafe reopens on November 1. Will you be dining here soon? Let us know in the comments.
