Halloween is seven days away, so it is time to start booking your Disney holiday experiences. Over at the Fort Wilderness Campgrounds, they have Holiday Sleigh Rides, and guests can start booking this experience now. This horse-drawn excursion lasts for 25-minutes and begins at the Tri-Circle-D Ranch Barn near the Settlement Bus Depot. The Sleighs fit up to four adults, or two adults and three small children. These sleigh rides will be available from December 1st to December 23rd; hopefully, the weather will be perfect during that time. Inclement weather could result in the sleigh ride being canceled.
Here is how Disney describes the Holiday Sleigh Rides.
Take in the magic of the holidays with a cozy carriage or “sleigh” ride through the festive campground and woodland beauty.
Each sleigh ride costs 75 dollars, but the price may vary by date. It is highly recommended to reserve this in advance. To make a reservation, guests can go directly through the Disney World website or the My Disney Experience app up to 60 days prior. Same-day reservations and walk-ins can be made on a limited basis and are subject to availability.
Something very important to note is the transportation system at the campgrounds. Disney recommends giving yourself an hour for transportation.
Allow for one hour of transportation time, as Guests will be required to park at the main entrance of Fort Wilderness and take a bus to the Settlement Bus Depot.
Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground is beautiful during the holidays, and this can be a special add-on to your holiday vacation. I think this would pair beautifully with a dinner at Trail’s End or Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue.
