This week we venture out to Universal Studios Hollywood for their Halloween Horror Nights Event! Join us for a night of terror as we check out what unique offerings the event on this coast has to offer!

THE HOUSES

At this year’s Halloween Horror Nights, there are 8 houses featured at the event. Most of the houses featured are either shared with the event in Orlando, or have been featured in past years. We noticed all of the houses had similarities yet differences from their counterparts, which was really cool to see! Our favorite houses of this event were “La Llorona” and “Scarecrow: The Reaping”! The set design was truly incredible for those houses, and we got some really amazing run throughs of those houses! We might have even got more scared here than we have at the event in Orlando. The actors had a really strong presence in those houses, and seemed to be coming from every angle.

THE TERROR TRAM

One of the most unique aspects of Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood, is the iconic Terror Tram! The tram takes you down to the lot, where you traverse your way through a part of the Universal Backlot. Here you will try to escape Harry Halloween and a horde of fiendish creatures. After escaping a near fate, you stumble upon the Psycho house, where you are able to get a photo with Norman Bates himself! Finishing up the Terror Tram, you enter Jupiter’s Claim from Jordan Peele’s “Nope”. Here you encounter many attendees of the park being terrorized by “The Tethered”. This ‘mega-scarezone’ was truly a blast, and was easily a main selling point for Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood.

Although we love our event back in Orlando, we truly had a blast checking out what Hollywood had to offer! We can’t wait to come back for years to come, to see what else is in store!
