What if you could get rewarded for allllll those Starbucks drinks you tell yourself you’re going to stop buying eventually?
No, we’re not talking about the Starbucks Rewards program. We’re talking about a brand NEW rewards program — one that will take you up, up, and away. If your perfect day includes grabbing a cup of coffee before flying to a new destination, you’re in luck. A new partnership between Delta Airlines and Starbucks has been announced that can help you earn rewards on both coffee AND flights!
If you just so happen to be a Delta Skymiles member AND a Starbucks Rewards member, it might just be your lucky day — the two have joined forces in a new partnership that will earn you points for coffee and flights.
Beginning on October 12th, U.S. customers enrolled in both programs will be able to earn one mile per $1 spent on eligible purchases at Starbucks. Not only that, but on days when enrolled members have scheduled flights with Delta, they can earn double Stars on purchases at participating Starbucks stores.
The offer is available for current rewards program members and new members as well. Delta Skymiles and Starbucks Rewards accounts can be linked by visiting deltastarbucks.com or starbucksdelta.com.
Plus, if you link your accounts between October 12th and December 31st, 2022, you can earn an additional 500 miles and 150 Stars after qualifying purchase. Starbucks Stars are also a new Choice Benefit for Delta Skymiles members — Diamond and Platinum members will be able to select 4,000 Stars as one of their annual Choice Benefits in 2024.
But wait — there’s more! Delta passengers leaving Seattle, Washington on October 12th will receive a “Star Card” valid for 150 Stars that can be redeemed toward their next Starbucks drink.
So, if you’re a Delta Skymiles member or Starbucks Rewards member, link your accounts to start earning these benefits. And if you’re not a member of either program, it sounds like now might be a good time to sign up!
