Disney’s Mickey Mouse – The Main Attraction collection, celebrating Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, has quickly become a favorite of Disney fans. This inspired line is a merchandise trifecta — it celebrates Mickey Mouse, Walt Disney World’s 50th, and popular Disney attractions.
On a recent visit to the parks, we found merchandise from Series 8 of the Mickey Mouse – The Main Attraction collection celebrating Dumbo the Flying Elephant available at the Emporium at the Magic Kingdom and Mickey’s of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can also find this and select previous collections at shopDisney.com.
Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction Dumbo The Flying Elephant Loungefly Mini Backpack – $85.00
This limited release mini backpack by Loungefly was inspired by Timothy Q. Mouse’s ringmaster outfit. We found this bag at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom.
On a background of blue and red simulated leather and underneath the front zip pocket is Mickey Mouse’s buttons. The top of the mini backpack has Mickey’s ears in sparkly silver and trimmed in gold. It is finished off with Timothy’s ringmaster hat and a gold feather.
The front outside pocket is secured with a gold toned zipper and blue trim. The top center of the mini backpack has a Disney Parks x Loungefly logo plate in red and framed in gold. It also has two side pockets perfect for a water bottle, umbrella, or sunglasses.
A closer look at the top of the bag shows its details. Above the Disney Parks x Loungefly logo label plate is a 3D circus ringmaster hat with an iridescent feather and a gold disc with a red star in the center. The main compartment zipper is trimmed in a gold tone. Behind the ringmaster hat are gold and red rosette ears with silver sequin centers.
On the lower back of the backpack is ”Dumbo The Flying Elephant” silk-screened in a golden yellow and dark blue.
In addition to a gold simulated leather top carry handle, the backpack has two adjustable gold simulated leather shoulder straps.
Don’t let “mini” fool you; the roomy interior compartment is lined with a Dumbo The Flying Elephant print. Alternating images of the letter “D” in the center of a shield and yellow stars in a red and yellow circle are on a background of vibrant blue with red striping.
One of the two side pockets has the “Walt Disney World 50” anniversary logo embroidered in gold stitching. Both pockets are blue and feature simulated gold leather trim.
The mini backpack measures 10 1/4” H x 9” W x 4 3/4” D and is finished with gold simulated leather trim along the bottom of the bag.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant Pin – $24.99
As with the Loungefly mini backpack, we found this limited release Ringmaster Mickey Mouse pin at the Emporium in the Magic Kingdom.
Made from metal and enamel, the pin is 3″ high. Mickey is in one of his classic poses with his hands behind his back and his right foot extended outward. He is sporting a red and gold ringmaster hat with a blue visor and golden feather à la Timothy Q. Mouse. He is wearing a blue jacket with gold toned epaulets and buttons. Mickey’s pants are red with a blue accent stripe.
Dumbo The Flying Elephant Plush – $34.99
He may be the “Leader of the Band,” but now he is also the “leader of the ring.” This Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction – Dumbo The Flying Elephant plush is a limited release created exclusively for the Walt Disney World Resort (but likely to turn up at Disneyland as well). We found everyone’s favorite mouse at Mickey’s of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
His ears and facial features are covered in an elephant gray polyester with white accents and hands. Mickey is sporting a red, gold, and blue ringmaster hat with a gold feather; a blue ringmaster coat with golden accents; red pants; and gold toned shoes.
Instead of Mickey’s traditional look, this plush pays homage to Dumbo with Mickey’s head in his colors.
Mickey’s ringmaster hat is made from red satin with a gold colored band at the base. The brim of the hat is in a rich blue with golden flourishes. A red star on a gold circle is at the center of the hat, with a two-toned golden feather protruding from the top.
Mickey’s sweet ringmaster outfit is exquisitely detailed. His blue pleated satin jacket has gold fabric trim around the sleeves, the placket, and around the bottom. The buttons have the same design elements as in the hat — golden stars against red backgrounds with gold and blue accents.
Red trousers with blue satin trim along the bottom and gold shoes complete the outfit.
This Mickey plush stands 18 1/2” high. His outfit is generally the same in the back. There are two red buttons with gold stars found on the lower part of the jacket with a blue center tab.
A golden embroidered Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary logo is stitched on the back of his left ear.
On the bottom, sewn on one of his feet, is a Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction Series patch.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant Collectible Key – $29.99
This collectible key, also available at Mickey’s of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, features ornamentation from Dumbo the Flying Elephant attraction at the top with a Dumbo ride vehicle below it. Cinderella Castle with a “50” engraved in the center is where the cuts of the key traditionally would be located.
The head of the key shows the detailed scrollwork in gold, red, and blue. Red Mickey ears adorn the top, and in the center, Dumbo’s “D” is in a shield with golden feathers on either side. A flying Dumbo ride vehicle in gold and red slightly overlaps the bottom of the Mickey ears.
The stem of the key is a bright blue with red stripes, and the big top circles in red with gold stars dot the center.
The Mickey Mouse: The Main Attraction – Dumbo the Flying Elephant Collection is the eighth in a series of twelve. Next up in the series will be Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, The Haunted Mansion, The Jungle Cruise, and finally, Cinderella Castle.
