CommuniCore Hall, named for a defunct EPCOT pavilion, is quickly taking shape in the center of the park a year ahead of its planned opening.
CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza replace the original festival center planned for World Celebration. They will serve as a multi-functional space that will be used during the park’s various festivals and be home to a Mickey & Friends meet and greet, a demo kitchen, a mixology bar, a gallery space, and more.
Two large concrete columns are now connected by reddish-brown and white steel pieces, creating the structure of the hall.
This piece at the top is one long horizontal bar with four short vertical bars going through it.
Crew members in cherry picker vehicles were working on the structure when we passed by on the Monorail.
CommuniCore Hall is right next to Journey of Water Inspired by “Moana,” part of the World Nature neighborhood.
CommuniCore Hall is visible in the concept art below.
A sidewalk will cut between the hall and Journey of Water. The plaza will be on the other side of the building.
