STOP what you’re doing right now and read this post if you want to eat delicious food on your Disney World trip.
2023 is a big year for Disney World, with new attractions opening, changes happening at the resorts, and so much more. With things like Genie+, Disney Park Passes, and the My Disney Experience app, it seems that there’s a lot of pre-trip research that’s necessary to planning the perfect vacation. But today, we’re helping you out with one big step — your dining! If you’re on the hunt for the BEST restaurants to try at Disney World in 2022…we’ve got your list.
Columbia Harbour House
Let’s start things out in Magic Kingdom, with our pick for the park’s best quick service spot — Columbia Harbour House. This restaurant, nestled in Liberty Square, serves American food that’s mostly focused on New England flavors, including seafood, veggies, clam chowder, hush puppies, and more.
The seating is entirely indoors, with both upstairs and downstairs options. (It’s great to get that A/C on a hot day!) You can Mobile Order your meal here through the My Disney Experience app to skip the line at the counter. And what should you add to your order? The hush puppies are spectacular, and the Trio Platter is a great choice if you want a little bit of everything!

Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen
Our other pick from Magic Kingdom is located in Adventureland, it’s Skipper Canteen! (Because, let’s be honest, WHO actually says the full name of this restaurant?!) Here, you’ll be waited on by Jungle Cruise skippers, entertaining you with jokes while serving the jungle’s finest cuisine.
In case you’re wondering what “jungle’s finest cuisine” includes, it’s basically a mix of African, Asian, and Latin dishes with punny names. You’ll find items like Skipper Dan’s Dan Dan Noodles and “Tastes like Chicken” Because it is! (Yes, that’s the ACTUAL name of the entree.) Since this is a table service restaurant, you’ll want to book a dining reservation if you plan on eating here, although, we’ve found that the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist has last-minute availability here from time to time.

Connections Eatery
Moving on to EPCOT, let’s talk about a spot that opened up in 2022, Connections Eatery! This new quick service restaurant has a variety of Americanized food, including burgers, pizza, salads, chicken, and more. They have a signature sauce that we love and some deliciously crispy french fries. Mobile Order is available, but the time slots often fill up quickly because of the popularity of the restaurant.
It’s located on the edge of World Celebration, right next to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. It’s the only restaurant on that side of the park besides Space 220, so it can be VERY difficult to find a table inside during meal times. Because of this, it might be hard to dine here with large parties

Le Cellier
Over in World Showcase, Le Cellier has been a standout restaurant for year due to its amazing food and amazing service. Located in the Canada Pavilion, this signature restaurant (that means it’s going to be pricey!) is pretty popular, so reservations can be challenging to snag.
The filet mignon and the cheddar cheese soup are both very popular items on the menu, and they’re even served in small portions at the Canada booth during the International Food & Wine Festival. If you’re looking for a restaurant to celebrate a special occasion in 2023, consider Le Cellier.

ABC Commissary
Back in 2020, ABC Commissary got a big menu overhaul at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you haven’t been since then, you’re missing out! Now, this restaurant serves tacos, salads, and a Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese that is a favorite of many people here at DFB.
There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, it’s one of the less-crowded places in the park typically, and the food is delicious…what’s not to like?! Plus, it’s often home to some fun seasonal desserts, so check those out during your visit.

Roundup Rodeo BBQ
The other spot we want to highlight in Hollywood Studios is one that hasn’t opened yet — Roundup Rodeo BBQ! This new table service spot is under construction in Toy Story Land, and is set to open before the end of 2022.
We don’t know much about the menu yet, except that there will be barbecue. But if it’s half as popular as Woody’s Lunch Box, we’re expecting reservations to fill up for this spot QUICKLY. It’s definitely going to be a hot-ticket dining reservation next year!

Satu’li Canteen
Let’s move on to the last park, Animal Kingdom! Here, we of course have to mention the fan-favorite quick service spot, Satu’li Canteen. Located in Pandora, here you can build your own bowl with a base, a protein, and a sauce. It’s definitely one of the healthier dining options around.
It’s also home to the world-famous Cheeseburger Pods, which are basically tiny McDonald’s cheeseburgers wrapped up in a doughy dumpling-like exterior. They’re quite popular, and so is this spot, so plan ahead if you want to Mobile Order or dine here.

Nomad Lounge
Our other pick for Animal Kingdom is Nomad Lounge. This lounge is attached to Tiffins, but is much more low-key, with casual couch and lounge chair seating both indoors and outdoors on the porch. If you sit next to the water, you might be treated to a great view of the flotillas going by on the Discovery River.
The menu here changes from time to time, but there are plenty of drink options, including non-alcoholic mocktails, as well as a number of small plates. There’s typically some kind of slider offering as well as a bowl, along with other seasonal and limited-time specialties. Either way, it’s almost always delicious!

Homecomin’
Now it’s time to go to Disney Springs, where we’ve got two spots to highlight! The first is a DFB fave, the amazing Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. This restaurant is VERY popular and reservations go quickly (although we’ve been able to ask at the podium and get seated occasionally in the past).
Here, you’ll find a variety of comfort foods and homestyle cooking on the menu, put together by celebrity Chef Art Smith. They’re famous for their fried chicken, as well as their moonshine. They even have a Shine Bar for those who are interested.

Chicken Guy
Speaking of celebrity chefs, perhaps you’ve heard of Guy Fieri? Well, of COURSE you have! The famous host of Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives has his very own restaurant in Disney Springs called Chicken Guy, where you can order chicken tenders…but with your choice of 22 (!!!) different sauces!
There’s quite literally a sauce for every palette here. It’s a counter-service restaurant, so as long as there’s not too long of a line, you can get in and out fairly quickly. Plus, they recently expanded their indoor seating!

Steakhouse 71
Steakhouse 71 opened up at Disney’s Contemporary Resort for the 50th Anniversary in 2021, replacing The Wave on the first floor of the hotel. The new restaurant is a traditional American steakhouse vibe, with varying menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
We’re not always the biggest fans of sit-down meals in Magic Kingdom, and if you aren’t either, then this restaurant is just a short walk away, a little reprieve from a busy park day. We have to recommend the burger (it’s a classic!) and the French Onion Soup has been a favorite for many as well.

Sanaa
Now let’s head on over to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, which has earned TWO spots on our list. The first restaurant, Sanaa, is located at the Kidani Village side of the resort. Here, you can dine with a view of the savanna, so make that midday reservation for a chance to see the animals!
Sanaa has a spectacular bread service, along with some classic African cuisine. It’s a meal that’s typically made for adventurous palettes, but it remains one of our favorite restaurants on Disney World property year after year. Definitely pay this underrated restaurant a visit!

Boma
The second Animal Kingdom Lodge restaurant is the #1 pick for many people on the DFB team — Boma at Jambo House! Boma is a buffet that serves a wide variety of African cuisine, as well as some Americanized options for pickier eaters.
We know what you’re thinking…a buffet? YEP! Typically buffets don’t have the best food, but this is the exception to the rule. Whether you’re stopping by for breakfast or dinner, there’s just something truly spectacular about the quality at Boma. And don’t forget to try the Zebra Domes for dessert!

‘Ohana
Now let’s talk about a fan favorite — ‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! ‘Ohana has been a popular choice for YEARS thanks to its delicious all-you-care-to-eat Polynesian feast served family-style and chill island atmosphere. The noodles here are so famous that when the restaurant reopened without them on the menu, people RIOTED on the internet and get them brought back.
But if you’re visiting for breakfast, you can enjoy a character experience with Mickey, Pluto, Lilo, and Stitch. Both meals are incredibly popular and hard to get reservations for, so you’ll want to plan in advance.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto
Downstairs from ‘Ohana is Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto, the Polynesian’s one-of-a-kind bar and lounge. Behind the unassuming door, you’ll find all kinds of fun antics, from zany bartenders to sinking stools and special effects when you order certain drinks from the menu.
It’s truly a wild experience, one that we highly recommend checking out at least once! They’ve got a few small plates and appetizers for those hoping for some sustenance, but their over-the-top drink menu is where they really shine.

Topolino’s Terrace
We bet you were waiting for this one — Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort! This restaurant is two experiences in one, with VERY different vibes for breakfast and dinner. At breakfast, you’ll find the famous character meal with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed in their artist costumes. You’ll order off a menu, but it’s all you care to eat.
During dinner, you can return for a signature restaurant-level Italian feast. There are handmade pastas, steak, delicious sides, and more. For the full experience, make sure to walk out onto the terrace and check out the spectacular view!

Victoria & Albert’s
And finally, we have to mention the king of all Disney World restaurants, Victoria & Albert’s. This AAA five-diamond restaurant is a culinary experience for those truly dedicated to finding the BEST food on property. During your meal you’ll be served by two dedicated servers and treated to personalized menus.
The Chef’s Tasting Menu in the main dining room includes between eight and twelve courses and starts at $295 per person with wine pairings that start at $150 per person. It’s a multi-hour experience, and it’s certainly a meal you won’t soon forget!
