Even though it’s officially fall, it seems as though Central Florida and Disney World haven’t quite gotten the memo.
It’s still pretty hot in the Sunshine State, and we’re always looking to cool off with a delicious treat. You could opt for a Dole Whip at Magic Kingdom, or maybe a frozen martini at EPCOT. But, there’s a cold concoction option that doesn’t involve having to shell out for a park ticket — so come with us to the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain in Disney Springs to try it out!
The Ghirardelli Soda Fountain in Disney Springs has some of the most delicious desserts around — from all that exquisite chocolate to coffee, hot cocoa, shakes, sundaes, and more! We recently spotted a new non-dairy dessert on their menu, so headed on over to give it a review.
We’re trying the Non-Dairy Hot Fudge Sundae — made with non-dairy chocolate chips and almond milk, over scoops of non-dairy Vanilla Coconut and finished with almond milk whipped topping, diced almonds, a cherry, and a 72% Dark Chocolate Square for $15.75.
More and more non-dairy desserts and snacks are popping up around Disney World, and we’re certainly not complaining! This sundae was SO. GOOD. Even dairy fans would enjoy this. The ice cream was creamy and sweet with just a hint of coconut flavor, and the hot fudge tasted like dark chocolate. It was rich without being too sweet, and a nice contrast from the vanilla ice cream.
If you’re not a dark chocolate fan, this might not be for you — opt for something with milk or white chocolate instead! The almond milk whipped topping was light and airy, and the diced almonds added a welcome crunch. And of course, that 72% Dark Chocolate Square was the cherry on top (aside from the actual cherry on top!).
We’d argue that this might be one of the best dairy-free desserts you can probably find in Disney Springs — and there are a lot of dessert spots in Disney Springs! Whether you eat dairy or not, consider giving the Non-Dairy Hot Fudge Sundae from Ghirardelli Soda Fountain a try — you might just find a new favorite.
