If you’re planning to visit Disney World on Halloween day and you haven’t already booked those Park Pass reservations, you’re going to need to act FAST.
Disney has indicated that demand for the parks is resilient and “long-lasting” and that there are many days when demand EXCEEDS Park Pass availability. Popular days, particularly holidays, can fill up when it comes to Park Passes, special event tickets can sell out, and dining reservations can get booked up fast. And now we’re starting to see things getting particularly busy for Halloween!
Park Pass availability is now LIMITED for Halloween day (October 31st) in Disney World. As of October 7th, when we checked, the Park Pass calendar showed that Park Passes for Magic Kingdom on October 31st have already SOLD OUT for those with theme park tickets. Park Passes remain available for EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios.
Magic Kingdom Park Passes have also sold out on October 31st for those at select resort hotels.
When it comes to Annual Passholders, things are a bit different. October 31st is still fully open at all parks for Annual Passholders, but that could change in the future.
If you were hoping to be in Magic Kingdom on Halloween and you haven’t already booked your Park Pass, you may be out of luck. Keyword: MAY. Park Pass availability changes a lot, so it’s possible that this day will get replenished in the future. You’ll want to keep checking back on the Park Pass availability calendar for any changes leading up to your trip.
Also, if you’ve got a ticket with Park Hopping ability, remember that you could potentially hop into Magic Kingdom after 2PM (provided there is availability).
Just keep in mind that Magic Kingdom will be closing at 6PM on October 31st, as there is a Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party being offered that night. All Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party nights are currently sold out, but sometimes there can be last-minute availability on the day of the event if there are cancelations. You can ask a Cast Member if there’s any availability during your trip, but since the party is technically sold out, nothing is guaranteed.
If you don’t already have your Park Passes booked for an upcoming trip (whether it falls on Halloween or not), we highly recommend that you book your Park Passes ASAP. If you lock in your Park Passes now, you’ll have a greater chance of getting the park reservations you want. As the dates for your trip get closer, certain Park Passes can sell out, potentially throwing a big wrench into your trip plans. If you book Park Passes now and later change your mind about where you want to go, you can see if there is availability at the other parks and modify your reservations. But at least you’ll have a reservation to go somewhere!
