We’re Trying a Cake That Looks Like a RARE Villain in Disney World

THIS is Halloween, and by THIS (imagine us gesturing wildly), we mean all the Halloween decorations at Magic Kingdom, all the Halloween merchandise, and all the Halloween snacks!

Polynesian Village Resort

With snacks being something that we do (hello, FOOD is our middle name), we’re trying out ALL the new Halloween snacks in Disney World. So let’s head on over to Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to see what kind of spooky new offerings we can find there!

First up is the Tamatoa, which is a Chocolate chiffon cake with Hawaiian Chantilly filling and shiny sprinkles. Okay, that sounds YUM! You can grab this from either Capt. Cook’s or Kona Island for $5.99 through October 31st. Y’all, it looks just like Tamatoa (which you might remember as the crab in Moana).

Looks just like him!

This is already a snack that kids (and kids at heart) will LOVE — it’s a lot of fun. The flavors are pretty good (especially that chantilly filling). The Tamatoa parts are white chocolate! Warning: you may be covered in sparkles after eating this treat!

He’s so cute!

Although it is SUPER cute, though, there’s no real “wow” factor about this cake. We also found some of the sprinkles (which got ALL over us) kinda’ hard.

If you find your way to the Polynesian this month, be sure to stop by and give both of these treats a taste! Also, stay tuned to DFB for more reviews because we really are trying out all the new Halloween treats in Disney World.

Looking for even more delicious food? Don’t forget about all the treats that are still available as part of Disney’s celebration of Hispanic and Latin American Heritage Month!
