A Disney Festival Booth With Mac & Cheese AND Pork Belly? Count Us In.

Happy holiday season from Disneyland Resort!

Disney California Adventure

It’s time for the Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure (not to be confused with the Festival of the Holidays that takes place at EPCOT), and we’re trying out the different booths and bringing all the food reviews! Who’s ready to chow down?!

Our first stop of the festival for 2022 is the Holiday Duets booth. The menu this year looks yummy!

Menu

There are two food items on the menu for 2022 — the Southern Mac & Cheese and the Pork Belly Adobo. They range in price from $8-$8.50.

2022 Menu

As far as drinks go, we’ve got the Huckleberry Sake Sangria and the Ceylon Splash. Sounds like some exciting things to try out here!

Eats

Starting with the food, we’ve got the Southern Mac & Cheese for $8.50. It’s a Cajun-style mac & cheese with Andouille sausage and panko crunch. The cubes of sausage remind us a bit of dog treats (in looks, not taste!) so it threw us off a little at first, but the macaroni is quite good.

It has a little kick to it, but it’s not too spicy. Definitely something you should try if you like pasta and you don’t mind some spice!

Next up is the Pork Belly Adobo for $8. It’s made with garlic fried rice, braised pork belly, chicharron pieces, and green onions. YUM! We really loved this item, it was very flavorful and the pork was cooked perfectly, moist, and easy to pull apart.

The rice was pretty standard in our opinion. Not the highlight of the dish.

Now on to the drinks!

Drinks

At this booth, we ordered the Ceylon Splash for $6.50. It’s made with Joffrey’s Ceylon Black Tea, passion fruit juice, coconut syrup, and Calamansi puree. It’s garnished with a purple orchid.

We thought it was VERY refreshing, and we loved the splash of coconut — it added a great mix of flavors.

Make sure to stir this one up before you drink it though because there are a lot of ingredients. That way you get all the flavors together!

Overall

Overall this booth is a great stop during the festival! If you’re looking for some protein or comfort food, the two entrees could be great choices and we liked them both. I mean, who would say no to mac & cheese and pork belly?! Plus, that drink is a great way to hydrate in between all these food stops — a solid choice indeed.

Full spread

We’ll be heading around to more booths soon, so stay tuned to DFB for all the reviews and updates from the festival. We can’t wait to try all the eats!

And if you’re visiting the festival soon, check out our page on the Festival of Holidays to see all the menus, reviews, and special offerings that you can experience in Disney California Adventure while this event is going on. It’s a great time to visit!
